What's your favourite game you've ever played?

I thought I would start this thread to see what great games of yester-year (or current titles) still live on in the memory of gamers.

For me it's got to be Final Fnatasy VII on the Playstation. There was just something about thoseboxy characters, thegripping story, iconic music themesand endless possibilities that made Final Fantasy VIIa delight from start to finish. The story telling was brilliant andI constantly feared a confrontation with Sephiroth - possibly one of the greatest game characters ever made - because he seemed so untouchable. So it gave me great satisfaction that I Knights-of -the-Round and Omnislashed his ass at the end of the game!

Final Fantasy VII was thefirst RPG I sat down and dedicated a decent amount of time with and I was rewarded with the best gaming experience of my life.

My favourite has to be the GTA series from III onwards, I found them so addictive.

I do think that GTA IV is the best of the lot, so that has to be my fave of all time.

I know it has many bugs for a lot of people but apart from the odd graphical glitch runs very well and stable on my system, If i had a slower PC and suffered the problems others have had Im sure I would think differently.

Other games I really enjoy.

Oblivion, Modded to death for balance, challenge and game play.

Fallout 3, Modded similar to Oblivion.

Galactic Civilizations II plus expansions.

Mass Effect.

Star Wars KOTOR 1 and 2.

Dead Space.

Civilization IV plus expansions.

Portal.

Tomb Raider series especially the last 3.

and not forgetting an old classic, Virtual Pool 3.
