1984, the first game I ever played as an educational game for schools, a game called Granny's Garden. Basic maths, English and so on. It wasn't bad, easy though.

It must have been late 80's early 90s I remember my friend had an NES and we'd spend hours playing it. I then was able to get my hands on an SNES. (now a boring story but I like to reminisce)
I remember my mom and I spent hours playing supermario world together. After we finally beat that we moved onto home alone. Sometimes after I was put into bed I could still hear her staying up at night playing a bit longer. It's funny though once I moved onto the playstation and subsequent systems she never played anymore. I'm sure I didn't notice it at all at the time but looking back I really miss those times together.
Maybe videogames were just more fun back then?
The first game I remember playing was Bart vs. The Space Mutants, wierd enough, it was out before I was even born..luisen123Makes me feel old,my younger brother got that as a gift on its release.:?
Around 1976~ (mid 70'S anyway). Commodore 64 with 5" floppies. Fav game at time for me I can't recall the title (Martian Invasion?) Your lunar lander touched down and you had to find your abandoned crewmates from earlier failed misson, but there were martians around too-looking like your crew. The best memories came from Castle Wolfenstein, though. In 2D-it was like an arcade scroller, only the view was from above. Ha! can youimagine that?
