Lol pretty much the same for me. And the rides at the theme park were closed that day... It's amazing how quickly the arcade became a relic of the past. Kind of sad.

For real, I remember loving going to my neighborhood arcade and watching my friend's mom give him $1 and tell him to have fun. It was priceless! I mean, do you know how many fake watches or poorly stitched stuffed animals you could get for $1? None, but you could try 4 times.

I spent a lot of time in high school playing Marvel V Capcom 2 at a local mall arcade, we used to play against the security guard who obviously spent too much time "guarding" the arcade... good times.

Yesterday.
I went in the hopes of playing Time Crisis 4 but they only had 3. Needless to say I was not happy to find that 4 year old machine was the newest one they had. I wont be going back to that one. If Dave and Busters counts I went there a few months ago in Denver and played lots of good games including TC4. D&B had a lot of new games but it was very expensive, more than a dollar a game for the good ones.

It's funny that you started this thread because I went today. I missed going to the arcades. Anyway, I had some fun playing time crisis 3, the house of the dead 3 and outrun 2. I then realized they're outdated. I couldn't find a fighting game. I really wish I could find street fighter 2 or 3 :(

Not seen a Street Fighter machine in a while. They have an Outrun 2 machine at the pizza joint by my house and we play it every time we go. It Rocks! It's still fun with friends after all these years but only in small doses. I have it for the PC and its fun but it's just not the same with out the machine trying to rip the wheel out of your hands. I tried it with my MOMO but the steering is not precise enough for one and as far as I can tell no force feedback at all.

There was this unfortunate business here in Greece, where public gaming was prohibited, de to the fact that some parlours offered electronic gambling as well as videogames. The law was subsequently rescinded, but the damage to the arcades was done.

Whoa. Probably more than 10 or 12 years ago. I can't even remember the name of the last game I played at an arcade.

Congratulations, people on making me feel like an old fart.

I ate a Gameworks a year or two ago, does that count? God that's some awful food too. Bad food sure as hell isn't going to get people back into the arcades, I'll tell you that much.

Its been ten years or so, when I worked in the game industry the Chicago area, we used to do a Dreamworks or Dave and Busters Run Every few months. Ahh the good old days I don't even think I can find one anywhere near me these days. Hell The closest one is probably 30 or more miles away. Who's got time anymore? sadly.

There's an arcade in the mall I live next to called "Gameworks" it's really fun there, I just love those shooting games where you have to shoot off screen to reload and stuff like that. Don't forget DDR!!!!

I was there about, a few weeks ago with a bunch of friends, it's really the only fun thing to do around here. Very boring town I live in, it's just nothing but resteraunts, Gameworks is the only thing interesting to do around here other then go to the movie theater RIGHT NEXT TO IT!

We need some clubs or comedy clubs around here, I'm sick of these resteraunts.
