Do you sometimes play one of the game consoles more often then the other systems you own? Cause that's kind of what's happening with me. I don't know why, but of the systems I own (Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, DS, and PSP), for some reason that I don't understand, I seem to play my ps3 more often then the other systems. Hell I even sometimes play my old ps2 system once in a while. Do you sometimes seem to play one game console more often then playing on the other consoles? Cause I don't know why I tend to play my ps3 more often then the other systems.

Yea happens to me often. Even more perplexing is when you have multiple platforms and find yourself most inclined to fire up a console from a few generations back. The human mind- no explaining it sometimes.

I tend to play my PS3 more than my 360 or Wii or PS2. Focusing on one console is just convience, while only playing my 360 for exclusives. Plus I sort of look at my other consoles as backup.

It's really cool that you got options like that. :) For me, I am solely an XBox 360 owner at this point, so it's the only one I play for now. If I had a PS3 or Wii or perhaps both, I would do my best to give them all the time they need. With the right games, of course!

Sure, I play my 360 the most. I prefer to get most of my games for the 360 and I use my PS3 and Wii for their exclusives.

Yes, my 360 is my most played console. My PS3 is only for it's exclusives, and the Wii is pretty much a dust gatherer as it has no resale value.

All the time. I favour my 360 (untill it broke) then for awhile I played my ps3 the most and now I mainly use my laptop and generally spend less time playing games.

WHAT?! Time for you to wake up and smell the Playstation 3, buddy. No need for the Wii, it's an absolutely horrible console in almost every aspect. Seriously, I'd throw the thing out if it wasn't backwards compatible.

I'd always led with logic regarding which system I played more. I simply played the system that got the best versions of games, which was usually the 360. Simple and logical.

However, when Microsoft went all squishy upstairs and started favoring mouth-breathing flailers over people like myself, I threw logic out the window and went with my heart. Now I don't play the 360 unless I absolutely have to. I figure that taking away the 30+ games a year I bought from them sends a stronger message of disdain than my bltching about their stupidity ever could.

Maybe they'll smarten up in time for the next go around, but I doubt it. In the meantime, I play marginally inferior versions of games happily on a PS3. It's a small price to pay to show Microsoft how absolutely fvcking stupid they've become.

That's actually not perplexing to me. Usually when I'm inclined to play on a console that's 20 years old it's because my game cravings aren't being met by the current generation; I have a serious hankering to play some of those woefully neglected or altogether abandoned game types. Like side-scrolling, co-op hack-n-slash / beat 'em ups. Playing Castle Crashers made me realize how much I missed games like Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Final Fight, Knights of the Round, King of Dragons, the Double Dragon series, and even super old school River City Ransom. Nobody bothers to make those sort of games anymore. Or classic 2-player games like the Contra series. Or the classic side-scrolling action/adventure games, like the Castlevania series. (Yeah, I know, Konami gave us Harmony of Despair, but that was a criminally half-assed, cobbled-together, phoned-in cluster**** that failed to live up to the potential of what could've been the most awesome Castlevania game ever.) It kills me that nobody - except maybe indie developers - bothers to make those sort of games anymore. It's all 3D, and single-player (or multiplayer online), and slick production values that, more often than not, feel soulless and devoid of fun or, at the very least, replay value. I own close to 100 current gen games. There are fewer than a dozen that I've actually replayed all the way through after beating, and less than half of those have been replayed more than once. Yet, there are tons of old school games that, even with their outdated graphics, I still return to again and again. I swear, if I had the money to fund it, I'd start up a gaming company that focused solely on bringing old school games (their style and spirit, not actual licenses) to modern consoles. Same premise and basic gameplay mechanics, maybe slightly updated or enriched with greater depth, but with vastly superior graphics. I honestly believe there's a huge market for those sort of games.

I have a Wii and PS3. I'd say they get about equal play time. I'm usually focused on one for a few weeks then switch to the other for another few weeks.

Not really. For some games that's the only way to play them is firing up an older console; no mystery there. And to answer the TC's original question: It all boils down to the games.

I wouldn't call the Wii absolutely horrible, however. I enjoyed my time with the system, specifically with games like TP and MG1. :) But I do intend to get a PS3 at some point, because I really want to check out Tales Of Graces F BIG TIME.

I don't balance my systems out just for the sake of balance. There are weeks when all I play is my PS3 and there are weeks I never turn it on. I haven't played my 3DS in a while but for about a month (playing MK7, OOT and Tales of the Abyss) that was the only system I did play.

I have a PS3, Wii, and 360 along with a DS and some other older stuff. I almost exclusively play PS3 though. I used to get quite a bit of use out of the Wii, but now I rarely use it. The Wii and 360 are pretty much the "family" consoles in my house, but the PS3 is all mine. The 360 rarely gets used by anyone, I don't think anyone really even wanted it, but oh well. I'd play it more if we had more than just a few Kinect games and it wasn't in the middle of the family room. I prefer being in solitude when gaming, unless I'm playing with other people of course. So really the 360 was just a bad idea, though I don't really have anything against the console itself.

I've always played my PC more than all other systems combined, I pretty much just have consoles for the few exclusives that aren't available on the PC.

I only own a PS3 and a 360, but have had the PS3 for many more years. I mostly play my PS3 because I only have the 360 for exclusives.

I own a Wii and don't intend on getting a PS3/360, so I've been playing PS2/SNES lately since Wii has been a bit dry on games, plus retro gaming is really cheap and lots of fun.

I'm jumping between systems all the time. Sometimes I will only play my ps3 for weeks, then my pc for weeks, then my ps2 for weeks, then.. etc.
