There are a few things that I keep on hearing that Best Buys do, but when I check my local Best Buys, they have no clue what I'm talking about. Let me tell you what I'm talking about.

First off, Game Winners, every once in a while, states that Best Buys have a $5 game sale where GW gives a list of games that Best Buy is selling for $5. When I go to a local Best Buy, they don't have any. I know things get sell out, but when I ask an employee, they say that they never have heard of that sale.

Also, I keep hearing that Best Buys are getting in imported DS games. Lately I've heard that Best Buys got in Naruto Ninja Council 4 and Bleach DS 2nd. On one seperate occasion, jump Superstars. Like again, I went to a local Best Buy and checked for them. I didn't find anything. I asked an employee if they had them in, and they said thay Best Buys don't carry imported stuff, at least not those items. He checked in the computer, and the closest Best Buy that had them in was about 100 miles away. The main reason I have them is because I had a local Best Buy get them from another Best Buy.

Is this just in my location or something?

I can't speak to what GameWinners says.
It's possible they are referring to online pricing and availability.
I see the Naruto Ninja Council 4 but not the Bleach one at Best Buy.
It's available at one of my local stores but not the other.
In the future you can go to the Best Buy web site you can check to see if
the game you want is at your local store by going to the title on the site and
clicking on "Select preferred store availability" and putting in your Zip Code
It will give you a list of all the stores in your area and tell you if the title is there
or not. It's great if your looking for a specific movie or game and don't want to
have to drive around hunting for it.

I can tell you that Best Buy regularly has buy two value priced pc titles for 9.99
or less and get one free so it works out to 6.66 each and I have seen clearance sales
at PARTICIPATING Best Buy's with games for 2 to 20 dollars that are generally
not advertised and the employees will not be aware of them.
There will usually be a huge list of games and none of the stores will have more then
a few if any of them. That's why it's called a closeout or clearance sale.
The price cuts are meant to devalue the inventory before it is dumped at a loss or thrown away.
Most likely what your describing about the cheep games is one of those closeouts.
