Easiest place is EB Games -- they have a ton, and are actually really cheap ...

The Exchange (if there is one in your area), Gamestop, EB games, anywhere that sells used games might have one.

You should still be able to get one at Gamestop.

That's rather weird. We have a place called Cash Convertors here -- they like buy all kinds of stuff from people -- they typically have random memory cards and all that -- have you tried a place like that?

That's a bummer. You might have to get one online, ebay, amazon, like someone else mentioned. Or ask all your friends and see if one of them has one, that's what I would proably do..

Iv'e seen them at Amazon, but the Sony type memory cards are over 40 bucks. As for generics, they have something like a 50/50 chance that it won't work with specific PS1 games; at least the ones I've owned, so it's a bit of a gamble with those. Also based on the Amazon reviews, seems that sometimes the PS2's menu screen sometimes doesn't see it, thus you can't delete or reformat the card. But the cost difference makes the gamble worth taking, I guess.

Hmm, here's a generic with only 3 reviews, but they all seem positive....

Most Gamestops I see now do not even sell stuff that much older. The Gamestops around here only sell things from Ps2 to this gen console wise and for handheld games its from GBA to of course this gen.

I've been noticing that as well but the one Gamestop around here still has some old PS1 controllers and mem cards, even a couple games. But most of the others I have been to do not.

I would just try amazon or ebay. Also, if you have a Vintage Stock in your area then they would likely have one.
