I don't get why everyone hates Sonic 3D Blast. I fully admit it's not as good as the traditional Sonic games, but it's not a bad game by any means. It's fun in it's own right. It's sure as hell better than Sonic Chaos or Sonic Spinball.Emerald_WarriorI think Sonic Spinball is the game that gets all the unnecessary hate, while 3D blast deserves the hate it gets. Spinball was a very unique pinball game and played well. 3D Blast had bad controls and lacked platforming and speed, the two things that made Sonic great.

Well Sega is working on a brand-new 2D HD Sonic game built "from the ground up" so my guess is that it'll be a mix of what made the 2D games so epic. I bet It'll be regarded as the best 2D Sonic game once it's released.

Setting those hopes high aren't you? I doubt it will be any where near as good as the 16-bit games.Setting those hopes high aren't you?zenszuluSega have never disappointed me in the nostalgia department and I don't think they will this time either. They're making this game thanks to immense fan-input and that's enough of an indication to me that there goal is to take fans like me back to the glory days. I won't be bummed if I'm proven wrong either way so it's a win win situation for me regardless.

Considering what all of the 2D sonic games have been like since Genesis, I think it's safe to say that this new 2D Sonic game is not going to be anywhere close to the glory of the originals. Furthermore, the quality of the handheld 2D games has been declining steadily since the GBA (and the latest DS game was so terrible I couldn't bear to play past the first level), so whatever Sega is doing it's likely to be worse than any 2D Sonic we've seen before.
Expect more crappy rock music, several new annoying characters, cameo appearances by a lot of the old annoying characters, cringe-inducing dialogue, a forced plot that will make you facepalm, and level design that has way too much going on and not enough coherent thought.

this, however I'm going to cheat a little and say Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast was hands down the best of the franchise.
I'm trying to track down my Dreamcast from a relative to play through that one. I've tried it, but never bought it or invested any amount of worthwhile time into it. I wonder if it still holds up..
I hope you guys are kidding when you say Sonic Adventure was the best.[QUOTE="Rocky32189"][QUOTE="Emerald_Warrior"]
I still can't believe Sonic Spinball has haters. It's probably my favorite....wait for it...spinoff game. Well besides Super Smash Bros. but that's not for a single franchise. I can't get into games like Mario Tennis.[QUOTE="Aero5555"][QUOTE="Megaman5364"]I wish they would do a HD remake on the PSN/Live Arcade/WiiWaregunswordfist
