Is this question for real? The GBA, of course. The 3DO was probably one the better non-mainstream systems, but GBA has some awesome games and was the first handheld that finally got everything balanced and right IMO (good graphics, color, backlit screen, good battery life, backwards compatibility, and good games all in one package).

I never played the 3DO, so I can't say. I'd have to go with the Game Boy Advance.

Only great game for the GBA in my opinion was Metroid Fusion. That game makes the GBA better than the 3DO. Also the ports sucked! Tekken (not a direct port) Street Fighter, Doom, etc.

Fusion, only great GBA game? Haha, no dude. And the Doom games weren't that bad. I liked having a small portable Doom. And Tekken was fun.

GBA without a doubt. with that said, the 3DO was awesome for 2D fighters, it had the best version of super street fighter 2 and some of the best version of several SNK fighter like Samurai Shodown 2

GBA, by far. You should've replaced the first choice with the Atari Lynx. That would've been much more comparable.

Now let me set something straight I admittedly liked a COUPLE other games, and that only one good game was an overgeneralization. BUT i do think Super Mario Advance, but I still think the great games, especially ones that aren't remakes or port are limited to Fusion, SMA, and Kirby ATAM

actually Doom and Wolfenstein 3D on the GBA were pretty crappy,

Doom was censored and suffered from slowdown and the levels were a bit different.

wolfenstein was censored, suffered from even more slowdown and had no music

Doom 2 was still censored, but the slowdown was minor and the music was ok

Believe it or not, fighting games and FPS' were the 3DO's main selling point, in that regard I believe that the 3DO was better then the GBA

With all due respect, most of those games are ports of snes(greatest system ever) games. Plus, you didn't even include Mario Golf Advance Tour OR Advance Wars--two of the systems best games.

no love for platforming and adventure on gba?

the GBA was full of awsome platfomers, adventure games and RPG's

I just pointed out the FPS and Fighting genres because they were never the GBA's strong point, the street fighter games are the only exceptions i'm aware of.

When it comes to FPS and fighters i'd probably pick the 3DO over the GBA, when it comes to everything else i pick the GTA

well... I think that both systems are tied the in the WRPG genre

omg i almost had a heart attack reading your question

gba any one who chooses otherwise must be living under a rock at this point

isnt it already clear

the library of games for it include gbc and gb and gba games

and of course you dont need a gba if you got a gameboy playero n the nintendo gamecube you could very well play your gbas on a big screen even bigger then the psp

--

and if that isnt an indicator maybe the 200million plus sales of ds aND GBA COMBINED IS ENOUGH TO PROVE YOU NINTENDO gb/ds is the best systems on the handheld market

psp cant even compare

the GBA probably has a larger library of games, but I think one should not dismiss the 3DO , as it has some very good games, like one of the best ports of Wolfenstien 3D, Need for Speed and Road Rash.

Im not going to say which is better because I don't own a 3DO, and in my opinion , if you don't own a system , you can't really say its better or worse then another system.

sales are not the same as quality.

the 3DO was better then the GBA in some genres
