Upon reflection now, what do you think was the best console game of last generation among these?
My pick is Metroid Prime, to me its perfect in all areas.

That's really tough. Although I'd probably rather play San Andreas or God of War, Metroid Prime is the least flawed of the listed games. The atmosphere and polish of MP is just incredible, so it gets my vote.
out of list-re4 ,
but timespltters 3 is down right the best there is in the fps department, it has more stuff then halo 1 and 2 combi ned and is still fun today
Wind Waker was the best game of last gen, but since it wasn't an option, I went with Metroid Prime. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was my next choice, though.
my vote goes to morrowind. why isnt that an option?
anyways, out of the options on the poll, id say halo: ce. it was one of the first fps i played (pretty much the first i could play competently) and even today it is fun, both singleplayer and multiplayer. also, i like to use it as a reference point to see how graphics in video games have evolved over the years.
Gonna go with Resident Evil 4, particularly the Gamecube version. As explaination, one of my favorite games ever. Halo was always underwhelming, GTA always annoyed me, and Metroid Prime was awesome, but never engaged me the way RE4 did. Was there something else on the poll? Oh yeah... God of War. Never played it, but the videos I've seen are underwhelming. I plan on picking it up at some point... I like hype. ;-)
Morrowind on xbox isnt as good as the PC version, thats why.my vote goes to morrowind. why isnt that an option?

Loved that game!
I'd vote for FFX if it was on the list. It's the game that got me into PlayStation.
Where's Timesplitters 2? That was the best multiplayer game, and best co-op game.........Well I guess Halo was really good too in both those departments. Of your poll I'll go with Halo CE.

I think most would agree Timesplitters 2 isn't in the league with these games.
To me, it was the most dissapointing GC game I played, but then I'm used to PC shooters, so it was inevitable it wouldn't measure up.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas by miles. Haven't played Metroid Prime but I have MP3 which is supposedly the best in the series and since I didn't like that much I'm fairly certain I wouldn't have liked the original.
burgeg
I think the first Metroid Prime was the best.

No RPG's on the list? Really?

what would you suggest belongs in here for CONSOLE RPG's? Oblivion? Fable? Tales of Symphonia?
...and what would it replace?
[QUOTE="Xeros606"]Morrowind on xbox isnt as good as the PC version, thats why. yeah but its still a very good game, the only thing you dont get with the xbox version is mods and the pc control scheme (which you might not prefer).my vote goes to morrowind. why isnt that an option?

Well on a technical standpoint, the PC version can perform much better and with better graphics. The mods are great though as well. Regardless it is a great game for the xbox but you get alot more from the PC version.my vote goes to morrowind. why isnt that an option?

That's because Timesplitters is an underrated franchise. Of course most people would agree....
Fortunately for me I can enjoy an FPS on a console, and on the PC equally. Saddening to think there are some people that can't :(
Metroid Prime for sure.Upon reflection now, what do you think was the best console game of last generation among these?

PS: Dude, fix your sig!
After much debate, I chose Metroid Prime, as IMO the current-gen "Wii-make" of RE4 is superior to the GameCube and PS2 versions, whereas the no-doubt superior version of Metroid Prime hasn't been released yet.
