Just curious, because I am playing Persona 4 on it right now. I still have many RPGs to play on PS2.

I still play it every now and then. There's still some games I haven't tried yet like Wild Arms 5, the Suikoden games, Shadow Hearts and a few others.

How is it? I was juggling that amongst too many other games at once and had to drop that game. I only got about 3 hours in.

Can't say much about it since I'm only on chapter 4, but so far I like it.
Following the dog around gets pretty repetitive though.

I've been getting so bored of my 360 recently and I had a huge craving to play my Megaman X collection specifically Megaman X4,5, and 6. *siiiiigh* but when I dig my PS2 out of the depths of my closet I find out that I no longer have a working PS2 controller  I would use my PS3 but it's broken at the moment and needs repairs....how much are regular PS2 controllers anyway? Do they even sell them new anymore? xD I'll probably have to go to Gamestop or something to find a used one.

You can still buy new PS2 controllers. I bought two Logitech wireless controllers a year ago and I love them. I'm pretty sure you can still buy official Sony ones if I'm not mistaken. Hell they still make brand new PS2s and sell them, why wouldn't they make the controllers?

**Target and Kmart have the official Sony controllers for $20.

Got Ar tonelico 2 today, just like every now and then an PS2 game gets my attention. Especially the JRPG genre has lots of PS2 games that I haven't played yet or that I might not even know yet. I'm even considering getting a new PS2 soon as my current one has an annoying problem with the memory card slot.

Haven't touched it in a while. Still go on my PS1 often though.

And before someone points out that a PS2 is backwards compatible, I know. Due to damage mine can't play PS1 games, CDs and most DVDs. Still plays PS2 games though.

Sometimes I dust it off to play one of its FF or Silent Hill games. I've kept a load of other PS2 games but I never really touch them anymore.

I still play. I never get bored with my copy of SCIII. I still haven't beaten the Tournament Mode. I also play Lumines Plus from time to time (until I get SuperNova/PS3). I have the SFCollection on there as well. Lots of old fighters that I love. Front Mission 4 is still cool too.

I recently even started a new save on FFXII.

Actually, for the first time in a few months I recently played on my PS2. It was actually a PS1 game though, when I re-played Tomb Raider II. I am considering re-playing Tomb Raider III some time soon as well. But I want to re-play also (well finish actually) The Punisher, Driver 1 and 2 (I never completed these, but I completed DRIV3R and Driver: Parallel Lines), Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, Resident Evil games, Metal Gear Solid 1, 2: Sons of Liberty, 3: Snake Eater, Call of Duty: Finest Hour and Big Red One, the Splinter Cells, Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories... and buy the PS2 version of Vice City Stories at some point too (only have the PSP version of that one, and I have always wanted to play it on both, just like Liberty City Stories). There are some I need to actually finish as well... Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, all the PS2-era Medal of Honor games...Heh, soo many to re-play... and that is ONLY replay. For what I still need to buy after all these years: Haunting Ground(s?) Cold Fear Black Medal of Honor: Vanguard Siren (I want to try these out) Silent Hill games (I never played Silent Hill besides #1 for a bit... was way harder than Resident Evil back in the day, which I grew up with and never re-bought them) These random VERY unpopular WWII FPS games that I forget the name of that are similar to MoH and CoD (I love my WWII FPS games) There are more too, but I can't think at the minute. It's fun being a gamer! lol :P.

I don't have a PS2 but I have a full BC PS3, and Persona 4 was great. I still have some JRPGs to play on the PS2, right now I'm working on the Disgaea games, and there's a few others I need to play like Radiata Stories, Rogue Galaxy, and Star Ocean, just as far as JRPGs go, and I've other PS2 games on my backlist which are good to play when I'm running out of things to play on my Xbox 360 and PS3. I got into PS2 gaming when all the games were dirt cheap new so I was able to build up a library rather quickly before they cut off publishing and things went up in price. I had a PS2, got one after I graduated college since I had more free time, got rid of it though when I got a PS3 and an HDTV since the PS2 wouldn't work with it well. Never had a GameCube though and stocked up on GameCube games when I got a Wii. Luckily got the Metroid Prime games when they were cheaper, and other games like the RE game remakes on the GC. And pick up random deals here and there. Got NHL Hitz and NFL Blitz 20-02 versions, found them in perfect used condition at one GameStop for $2.99 each, and they're more fun than any other football or hockey game since then. Also, picked up some of those Nintendo sports titles like the Mario golf, tennis, soccer, and baseball games. Just picked up Luigi's Mansion as well, another perfect condition used title (minus used stickers on case), yet to try that one yet. I like getting these GameCube games, they're dirt cheap, lots of fun to play, though there are some rare ones hard to get a hold of, still looking for a decent used copy of Wind Waker, can't find one yet, might have to bite the bullet and buy one on Amazon for a little more. Anyhow, I think playing the last gen games is sometimes more fulfilling then focusing on just what the current gen has to offer. There's some cheap gems in there but you have to be lucky to find them, some of the more rare classics are hard to get, but there's such a rewarding feeling when you find a good game for next to nothing, or find that used copy of a game that the previous owner took perfect care of.

Get component cables. I got them and I would way rather play on my HDTV than a standard television. Also, don't sit too close to the screen, that makes a big difference.

I used to turn to it for playing my PSX era RPGs. Now, that job is for my PS3. Fortunately, it still works like a mule in summer when it comes to PS2 RPGs, and Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix. Far as my console is concerned, it will never be left out of a job.

...unless PS4 is BC :o

I love my PS2, I still play it more than anything. It's the best game console ever. I'm currently replaying Tales of Legendia and Tales of the Abyss. My friend told me I should get Persona, which I never played; it looks really good. I missed out on a lot last generation. I never played Metal Gear Solid 2, Persona, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Legendia or Shadow of the Colossus during the last generation. It wasn't until recently I decided to buy those games used for cheap prices at Gamestop. The PS2 had such great games, they're so much better than current PS3 and 360 games.

Yeah, I'm using the component cables for my PS2 on my HDTV. It just doesn't look that great on some games with alot of edges, It brings out the colors and makes the game playable but also brings out the jaggies. Doesn't bother me much though.

Mine's used as a DVD player in the bedroom. I almost bought Haunting Ground the other day, which I've been meaning to play for years, but it was a bit too expensive. One of these days I'd like to get that and Silent Hill 2 & 3.
