Why are gamers so upset about BLOPS3?

What was wrong with black ops 2, I remember the game looking fantastic.

I really felt it pushed last generation to the max, great graphics, great sound it was like the pinnacle of last generation.

I checked the review of course everyone was hating on black ops 2, it got a 9.3 at ign and the review got around twice as many dislikes as likes, and people said overrated crap and that they are sick of it.

THE GAME FELT LIKE golden ee there was a boat level just like goldeneye when your on that boat this had the same kind of level with a submarine

the whole game just felt like a rock solid adventure, it was way better than advanced warfare and ghosts

so why the hate it was the best, it did everything right, it was fun i literally played the whole game in 1 night, cuz i just couldn't stop i had to know what happened next

this game was not bad no dude i don't believe you people it was modern golden eye for and thats hard cuz i LOVE james bond but this game just i connected with it just as much as him and loved it

i know people get sick of trilogies and this one especially since its similiar to modern warfare too so its almost like 7 of them have come out yes the series should end at 3 so just let them make this third blops and they will do something else after MW 3 and blops 3 just let the series come out an end there imo

I still like the franchise as a whole, but I'm not buying the same modern/future war theme game every year. When Treyarch started doing the historical cod games, I thought that was a great idea to mix things up! But now with them going futuristic, it just adds to the same mess EVERY year with little to no improvements.

Just a many have said before, the COD franchise has become the shooters version of Madden.

I loved black ops 2, because it had a more interesting campaign than fc3 and bioshock infintie, i found both thos games to be utterly borring.. Blacks ops 2 had some good plot twists and i liked the sci fi stuff, infact it was better than the dissapoitment that future solider was.

Now the problem with cod is that it is mostly mp and it MOST DEFINETLY doesnt justify the price or how little they change, basicly people hate it because it is cod and the ygot tired of cod.

Treyarch really upped the standards with both black ops games so i am intersted to see what they will do next.

I played the shit out of blops 2 but it did not have great graphics not the multiplayer anyways. MW2 mulitplayer looked way better then blops 2. They put little to no effort into the multiplayer graphics of blops 2. The boat map was vomit same with the disco map. After the last two cod games being pure shit I'm not buying a new cod until I rent it first.

COD 2 is not my cup of tea, COD 1 ---> oh yeah !

Black Ops 2 was great, you actually had choices in the campaign that affected how the story turned out, and the multiplayer is one of the best in the series.

Agreed. I'm not too much into futuristic stuff. I like WW2 and present-day settings in CoD. I wish there would be a WW1, Korean War, or another Vietnam War (Blops 1 took place in Vietnam) game, preferably with 100% less "I KEEP HEARING THE FUCKING NUMBERS".

An engine that did little to improve upon itself after Cod 4, while housing the exact same issues the predecessors had with every iteration. P2P online even though it's the highest grossing game series of last generation, causing for people who had bad pings to often ruin whole matches or win due to allowing those with horrible pings to have the upper hand, due to stuttering or killing behind walls etc... Or the host winning every time if they were half decent due to the ping difference and horribly net coding and overall design.

Also literally every Call of duty online including all console versions are hacked and exploited to online game breaking levels within the first week of launch. No way of dealing with people who do this on consoles just got to suck it up apparently. You want to go play your old cod online on a console? Good luck if it's not the newest one as you'll run into more hackers and exploiters then actual players. I learned that very fast trying out Cod 4 and black ops 2 on my ps3 a year ago.

The games AI is almost non existent, wack a mole shooter is what I like to call it.

It's just a series that lost quality as it got big, and never once tried to improve upon itself outside of the basics of adding new weapons and game modes 100% ripped from mods made for things like counter strike or half life(Not a bad thing just played these modes when I was 8 would be nice to see some originality form a series that makes so damn much). They as a company ignored all the technical issues people had and since every game has turned out the same both in online play and single player I'll stick the cod series under the tab Once was good but now needs to be forgotten.

I never finished Black Ops 2 and I have no desire to ever finish it. The RTS strategy element COMPLETELY killed my interest in the game. Advanced Warfare was more fun and straight to the point. Playing through it was far more enjoyable but all of this is my opinion.

I don't understand why any gamers are giving this game strong emotions, good or bad. Regardless of the setting/visuals, it'll likely play just like the last half dozen call of duties. Nothing to get excited by.

For me personally, I have a lot of other games to play before I could be bothered by CoD. CoD isn't bad, but it's not that great either. There are a ton of other games out there more deserving of my time than CoD.

Also, TF2 pretty much wipes the floor with most other MP shooters I've played. And it's free.

Cube is what you're looking for. It's been around for over a decade and still hasn't garnered the level of acclaim that it should. By far the best doom clone ever made hands down.

The main thing here is that you are rating Black Ops 2 on the campaign whereas most everyone else rates COD games on the multiplayer. The COD devs put out the numbers a year or so ago and MOST gamers don't even finish the campaign. COD is all about the MP, which is funny because a large number of gamers feel there is hardly any innovation when it comes to that aspect. Hence the discrepancy. The hates comes from the short campaigns and the seemingly recycled MP features, not the quality of the campaigns themselves.

It's just the the vocal minority who regularily post in forums.

Because Black Ops 2 was the beginning of the end of good COD games.

Instead of doing actual work and removing cheap tactics that took no skill and where the result of bad coding they encouraged and celebrated drop shot-ing and quick scoping.

They ruined the balance by letting you pick any perks from a pool instead of certain perks in certain tiers.

The netcode was crap and they used lag compensation that only made the game worse.

Plus it's more futuristic crap that will probably have more boost jumping and dodging that will make it a game of constant jumping like Advanced Warfare and will make the crappy netcode and hit detection even more noticeable.

COD gets a lot of hate every year, because it's popular and gets yearly releases. I like the games well enough to either buy when cheap or rent them to play the campaign and some local multiplayer, not really into online so much.
