I really like tennis games and I'm a fan of Top spin 4. But I can't understand why there aren't any games coming for ps4/xb1. Anybody who likes tennis games or know why this is happenning can explain to me why?

I understand your pain, I think the issue is control.
After the Wii and PS Move tennis games, who wants to go back to using a normal controller. I have that issue with golf games. After the last Tiger Woods game released on the Wii with Motion Plus I don't want to play golf games without it anymore, so I don't. I guess motion controls are last gen and no longer relevant. However with VR being the new hotness, they are making a comeback, I'm seeing a lot more PS Move enabled games being demo'd these days for VR purposes, so keep your fingers crossed for a Tennis game on Playstation VR.
Hey, I'm gonna move this thread to the Games Discussion board, as it really does fit in better there. Besides there's more activity than the Sports Bar board.
As for the topic itself, it's not something I've ever given much thought. Mario Tennis has always been fun, but now that you mention it, I guess gaming does lack a good Tennis game the way we have them for Boxing and MMA, motor sports and others.

Because developers think all gamers want a FPS and MOBA games.
A Tennis game simply does not sell well enough to warrent the cost.
I imagine if VR takes off, and the controllers for it are good, we will see more variation in sports games. Have not researched the playstation VR nor XBOX's; do they offer more immersive controllers? Combine with Kinect (in the case of Xbox)?
The HTC/Valve VR system would be great for a tennis game I bet!
@mrbojangles25: PSVR doesn't require any controllers depending on the game and if you're in a well lit room. Some games require the DS4 (standard) PS4 controller. Some games may require the PS Move controller.
Luckily, I already have the PS Cam and two Move controllers so my wife and daughters could play Just Dance. Now I'm just going to wait for PSVR to drop significantly in price.
I'm not sure what the Xbox Hololense offers.

I understand your opinion and I think that is a good point. Tennis games really dont't sell well enough like soccer, basketball or racing. But if look in the games already being sold on stores you can find a Handball 16 game for xb1/ps4, but not a Tennis game. It is really difficult for me to understand that even a Handball game is more profitable than a Tennis game.
@thehig1: Bullshit...when the series was first introduced to arcades and was ported to consoles it sold well because they made several sequels. Companies don't make sequels unless a prequel sells well...
My post was nothing about sales, my original post was about there are no real tennis games on console, Virtua Tennis has always been an Arcade game, decent game play but thats it. By Proper Tennis game I meant a fully fledged Tennis game with longevity that Tennis fans could play, Arcade games dont cut it for that niche.
Tennis elbow includes top 100+ real players, all accurate rankings, it includes all the correct tournaments played on the ATP tour eg Challenger, ATP 250,500,1000 Grand Slams. All of them are in the correct stage of the year at the correct venues. Prize money and ranking points earned is even accurate, its a game for tennis fans.
@thehig1: In your original post, you stated that tennis games sucked on consoles too...but that's subjective. Many people loved them on console and while not all of them were as in depth as Elbows...they were well received. The Mario Tennis, Top Spin, Virtua Tennis...all loved
There is a good reason for this:
The developers of EA went to see an actual tennis match, and came to realise it is the most depressingly boring sport in the whole world.
But then, what do you expect of a sport that was invented by the French...
Just release a port of the original Virtua Tennis from the Dreamcast with added online play for Xbox One and that would be the only tennis game that I need for the rest of the generation.
@henrythefifth: I actually think that tennis is one of the only sports that is intertaining to watch.
I'll watch the Australian Open every January, and then I won't bother with sport again for another year.
@storm_of_swords: I still think Virtua Tennis 2 is as good as you can get in that genre. That and Tennis 2K2 had a career mode where you improve stats in training and have a girl character, a boy character and a calendar. Still only about 12 players from 2002 but serviceable graphics and deep gameplay.
