It seems like game companies are leaking it on purpose. Why not announce it or admit it is real?

I wouldnt say its just on purpose. Game companies can be huge and consist of a large number of stuff - it only takes one of them to accidentally (or perhaps purposely) open their mouth and reveal too much. Or there might be that bitter recently sacked employee who's got nothing to lose and so just spits out everything. Game companies are hardly the illuminati.

Yeah, I did notice that the "leaking" seems to be happening a lot lately. I had three theories that i couldn't choose between: careless employees (possible) Careless employers who actually don't really care and can't keep secrets, or secret ninjas that have been hired to discover this information using whatever means necessar, and then deliver it to the nearest gaming news station.

alot of its probably on purpose...because when things get "accidentally" leaked or kept secret then people seem to swarm all over any news

With internet, its so much easier to get info out, back at early E3s, everything was fresh because internet was nearly as popular, I mean most have it on their phone now.

Companies have learned how to cope with the leaks. It's not any real news to people; games are like movies, you can say what's under production, release a couple pics but you'll still get what you want on release. Leaks mean nothing.

Leaks mean nothing.

except that ninjas are secretly infiltrating your company. Which is cool, but still not very good for business I'd imagine. Of course, that's just me.
