Why would that be closed minded and dense? Nintendo games are not really that different and original any more and most are sequels to already existing IP´s. That for anyone who ever had a Nintendo console is well known.

Nintendo do make decent games but they also stick to their recipes like a old granny who is making the same applepie she has done for decades. And when there isen´t any real 3rd support. I get why people will jump over the WiiU and leave it at the store.

Sounds like you don't know what you're talking about. ie a situation where some untrained person is trying to talk about flying a plane.

What are you on about?

Nintendo are just all over the place. I would LOVE to own a Nintendo again - the problem is, to play all of the titles I would want to, I would need to buy multiple platforms, at least I think I would, which is part of the problem the gaming community has. I would happily fork out big bucks on a Nintendo console with DS/Wii/whatever else they have compatibility. The WiiU was a debacle (I was firmly among the "so what exactly is it?" crowd on it's release), and there have been so many versions of the DS with or without wifi, with a big screen, with no 3D, with 3D and a big screen but no wifi or whatever the former gaming giant only confuses the hell out of parents now looking to buy for their kids, and casual gamers are generally lost.

New console, with new Mario title, bundled. New Zelda title release separately, with a new Metroid, and a slot for DS titles. I would buy that day one.

lol you're a hypocrite if you think your posts make any sense. Since you obviously know nothing about Nintendo games, you should take your own advice.

And hypocrite? did you just hear the word and thought hey that sounds cool, because in this context it makes no sense what so ever. And as to Nintendo games, are you really that fanboyish?

But next time a small advice , This is not System wars where fanboy arguments are enough and you can write shit like you do, so try to come up with arguments.

Not System Wars eh? Exactly. So you should leave your fanboyisms for that board and not try to talk about games and systems you're unfamiliar with. You're the one making stupid claims about Nintendo and their games that simply aren't true, so here's a hint: YOU'RE THE FANBOY in this conversation. Get a clue.

Try knowing what you're talking about before typing the nonsense you do. Maybe you can learn from your idiotic mistakes and become a better poster in the future. Good luck with that.

Just some of the games you've missed out on over the years:

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Bayonetta 2, The Wonderful 101, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Metroid Prime Trilogy, The World Ends With You, Shin Megami Tensei IV and Devil Survivor 1 and 2, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and Link Between Worlds, Xenoblade Chronicles, Metroid: Other M, Eternal Darkness, Mario Kart DS, Super Smash Bros for Wii U or 3DS, Mario Kart 8, Star Fox Adventures and Assault, Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, Pandora's Tower, The Last Story, Pokemon X and Y, Hotel Dusk Room 215, Phoenix Wright, Professor Layton, Super Mario 3D World and Land, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Bravely Default, Persona Q Shadow of the Labyrinth, Luigi's Mansion, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Donkey Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 1 -3.

Now I'm not saying you'd have to like or want to play all of those, but you absolutely can't deny there are some you wish you could enjoy.

nothing there appeals to me ecept for the Mario Kart series

Lol, out of all those games you've picked Mario Kart?! ...such a gamer you are.

So true. There are gamers and then there are fanboys who like brands instead of games.

Again what are you talking about? you keep trying to make this so personal and come up with lame attempts to attack my knowledge of games.

Unless you can come up with something else than "hoho i am a Nintendo Fanboi and they make the best games evvvvvaaaaar, and anyone who cant see it is a moron who doesnt know Nintendo" I think you need to jump back into systemwars.

You can disagree with the argument that Nintendo stick to their well known ip´s but proof is the pudding.

And there is a reason why Nintendo particular with the WiiU has failed so miserably and has a dead console on their hands.

@Jacanuk: "what are you on about" is not a proper comeback. It signifies that you have no argument and your debating skills are trash. Citing sales is absolute proof of this.

You make disingenuous statements, get called out on it and say "what you talking about?" doesn't cut it guy. To be honest I think you're perfect for System Wars, not only because you keep bringing it up but also because your level of dialog fits in with that low brow crowd fittingly.

You are a funny little troll. You have made zero attempt at "calling anything out" all you have done is make personal attacks and just made yourself look like a fool.

And you might want to learn to look towards your own dialogue , because your debate skills is the same as i would expect of a toddler who just learned to say mom and dad.

Wii U has Wii backwards compatibility, and you can get GBA, DS, N64, SNES, NES games on the eshop considerably cheaper than the prices of the physical games. But yeah, I can understand it if people aren't comfy in buying multiple systems for only a few games.

Whatever floats your boat. I think Nintendo consoles are essential every generation. If I had to skip out on a console it would be a Microsoft console.

I bought a Xbox and a Xbox 360, and both were consoles that were ridden with hardware issues and games that were eventually ported to other consoles or PC. It was exciting to have those exclusive games that gave the console worth in the beginning, but as time went on I felt that it was money wasted because I previously had other hardware perfectly capable of running all but a handful of games.

What do you expect to happen when you put your "blog" on a gaming forum to boldly declare you're a fanboy?

If you haven't owned a Nintendo console since the N64, then you have simply missed out on 15 years of some of the best console and handheld games in the entire industry.

To each their own I guess. I always get Nintendo's console first every generation, because they always guarantee the best first party games every single generation they've been around. The other two console manufacturers rarely if ever touch that quality. If Nintendo had 3rd party support, I'd game exclusively on their hardware, but alas, I buy two consoles every gen now because of this reason.

It's weird you didn't jump on Gamecube. It's pretty much a superior N64 because it had rather strong 3rd party support in addition to some of Nintendo's very best offerings (Metroid Prime, Smash Bros. Melee, Pikmin, Paper Mario, F-Zero GX, Wind Waker, etc)

But PS2 was way superior

That's debatable.

The Gamecube had the superior version of every PS2 multiplat, and the Gamecube's top games are at least on the same level as the PS2's top games. Then again, the PS2 had a lot of great JRPGs, so it really depends on what sort of games you are into.

Well, unless you were into online and hate the mini-disc and/or the controller with a burning passion, but not like the former matters these days for those consoles (so, sharper graphics aside playing TS3 on GC is about the same on PS2 now).

"a certain console" would only cover one generation, yet you talk of three of them. Now who's the troll?

nintendo has pretty much hinged itself on whether you're a fan of its IP's or not. since their systems, for a long while, haven't had online, third parties and hardware going for it.

I hear where you're coming from but some of that has to do with the 2d to 3d transitional period. There was no such thing as not taking a risk back then and developers were completely unknowing as to what gamers would actually cater to. But skipping the Gamecube and NOT buying a backwards compatible Wii when they were $140? Yikes.

A Wii doesn't cost that little here. It still costs over 200 bucks here
