I'm going to put this hear because the Titanfall game forum hasn't seen a response in 8 days. When I first put Titanfall in, there was no mandatory install for the 360 version, like there is supposed to be. There is no option for install on the dashboard. I only care because EVERY time I put in the game it does this "optimizing HD content" thing and there is a 3 minute load screen. It is getting annoying. Anyone else experience this? Or know what's going on?

All I could find was this process failing for people, but nothing on why it happens or how to fix it.

Don't care about single player. What I want to know is which incompetent fool thought it be a good idea to force you to use weapons and equipment you don't want to use to advance. Then give you nothing in reward for advancing. Its ignorantly un forgivable game breaking trash!

i'm apearently one of the 5%, but i prefer to play a strong Single player first, if only going to Multi straight, then every FPS is just exactly the same, aim and shoot, only weapons will differ.

its more fun to play MP if you know the story behind everything, why are you fighting, and at the other hand, if you worked up your way to the top in that game, why bother buying another game and start all over again? and again, and again, and again and.... you'll get it.

the SP offers a diversion, not the same thing over and over again, a goal to reach, most of the people i know think exactly the same, maybe one or two of the 50 i know only focus on Multiplayer only, because its easier to beat players then a npc that can calculate and use tactical maneuvers. thus i prefer playing SP's on hard / insane modes, one mistake and its all over, offering a challenge, MP's, you just spawn 2 seconds later 5ft of the position you died and continue where you where. if then they get beaten, they log out and start into another batlle because they cannot win.

yes, make a SP for titanfall too :D SP's make the game of 70€ worth buying. (yes its about 70€ here in the stores)

I'm confused by this thread. Did you have a similar reaction when it was announced that Quake 3 wouldn't have a single player campaign?

Or Battlefield 2.

Or CS: Source

or L4D

I'd rather have an industry where developers specifically have a focus on a particular audience, rather than having to cater to both SP and MP crowd - which usually leaves for one -- or both being mediocre game modes.

Though, for the Ex Infinity Ward people, it's tough to swallow as they were pretty solid in offering a well rounded package.

I recently just bought my Xbox one and bought Titanfall because I had heard really good things about it. The only problem is that I share a different perspective on video games than most people do and am fairly disappointed that the single player element to these types of game is beginning to diminish. I have always been a big fan of campaign modes where you aren't inhibited by having an internet connection to play. I suppose this is a big reason I've been such a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed games since they have been released. The games are in depth and offer and amazing experience as far as I'm concerned. Of course like every gamer, there have been versions that I've preferred more than others, but that's to be expected from time to time. I am still waiting for a console game to be a first person shooter and have a campaign that really blows me off my feet. I've yet to seen it but I'm still excited for what is to come. I believe that a software company in the future will develop this game that I've been waiting for but at the end of the day you can only hope.

- A gamer who appreciates the single player campaign

Isn't this a good thing, it separates BRO shooter games entirely. So any FPS single games in future are more likely to be worth your time in future.

Thats if this trend carries on.

Not anymore.

Sorry, but it had to be done. Should have locked it down ages ago, really.
