Aye, they sometimes give some pretty bad ratings. most of the time they try to line up reviewers that like that type of game so they can give it a fair score. I can see someone giving a bad rating to a game type they don't usually enjoy.
I'd be a really bad person for reviewing games, I can be really picky... especially for FPS, I don't give them much slack.
ya they gave burnout 3 a 9.5 even though burnout revenge was better, and they gave that a 9.1dsan224I pefer Burnout 3 over revenge. Theres just a feeling i get when i'm playing burnout revenge as if there's somthing small that's wrong. Still it's a kick a** game.
I think it is more about the era the game came out, not stand alone quality itself.
If Chrono Trigger came out now, it wouldn't get 10 even though it is still very fun game to play.
Weird is not spelled "wierd". I don't know why people make this mistake so much.Evilmaster101
Reviews are just the personal opinion of the writer and like it was said before if the person doesn't like that type of game you deduct points just by having them review it. Likewise you can basically deduct points if it's a movie based game cause its automatically assumed its going to be crap. You also have to consider that reviewers may also not have the time to play an entire game and often base some of their conclusions on other professional players input. They will of course deny this but if it takes 20 hours to finish a game you just got this morning and you have to have the review in by the end of the day what are you going to do? Answer is play it for 4 or 5 hours, talk to the guy that finished it and get your review in on time.
You need to read several reviews and ultimately make your own decision. Hopefully the review (good or bad) gives an accurate representation of the games content.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 got a 6.5 while Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi got a 7.0...but get this the second game was better than the first one....haterexI actually played both games, and I prefer the first one much more. I just didn't like the board game mode.
