[QUOTE="HiResDes"]He never claimed it would get a 9/10 ASK, you are putting words in his mouth, if was more of a rating he gave comparing Fable II to his past work. ASK_Story
No, I read the article and he wasn't comparing with the first Fable.
Jesus ASK, you are nitpicking, I didn't say he was comparing it to the first fable, but rather his past work in general
"I'd rate it a 9 out of 10," Molyneux told Xbox World 360. "It's the best, most complete game I've ever worked on. The look is perfect, the interface is fantastic."
And the British developer reiterated that he thinks he's learned from the past - something he revealed when we spoke to him in July. "When I think back to Dungeon Keeper, and even the original Fable, they were incredibly guilty of having those mechanics in them where at the end of the day you think, 'So what?'" he said at the time.
"It's far better to cut it down and have a smaller number of things, polished. The dog is the perfect example in Fable 2. The dog is polished to make sure that the limited things that he can do, he does well."
This is where you made a mistake of mixing up the words of the interviewer and the interviewee, take things with a grain of salt if they are not coming straight from a person's mouth, or even claimed to paraphrased. The person that did the article just wanted to stir up a little controversy, so they added this little piece of bologna at the end:
As for the scores Fable 2 gets in the press, we'll have to wait and see, but Molyneux is hardly the first developer to look back on a project and suggest a mark. Most recently Harvey Smith, formerly of Midway, gave Wired his appraisal of the sadly dreadful Blacksite.
"I would give it an 80," he said, although he admitted the low scores weren't a surprise, explaining: "With a year to go, the game was disastrously off rails."
Okay, now do you understand how to read articles?

Hey, man, I don't mind discussing with you and agreeing to disagree, but you cross the line by using "Jesus," in a derogitory way.
You can say I'm wrong and I don't care if you think I'm ignorant or a stupid fool who can't read aritcles. But don't post with that tone.
We can still discuss without being like that. And my posts are just opinions. It seems you're the only one who's taking it personal.
sorry just got back from a debate at XU...HiResDes
I can take insults. I've been called worse and I don't care if people say I'm wrong. That's part of debating. And I respect your opinion and discussion as well as others.
But I take it pretty hard whenever "Jesus" or any negative remarks with "God" in it comes in. That's why I stopped reading EGM when they publicly announced in a past issue that they will freely use God's name in vain and not edit it out. And they clearly said they won't even be apologetic about it. That's also why I don't go to the 1up boards anymore... it gets really bad over there.
People get offended whenever something negative towards religion is said but for some reason, whenever Jesus or God is mentioned in a negative way, nothing gets modded or is just left alone like if it's no big deal at all. I find that pretty hypocritical.
It's offensive. Plain and simple.
Sorry for going on about this, but I just had to get it off my chest.

I didn't mean it to be negative remark about Jesus, nor do have I really saw it that way, but still I apologize for taking the Lord's name in vain. To be honest, where I live it is just part of everyday talk, and it serves as nothing more than an exclamation...
Is hating Peter M. still considered a cool thing to do on the internet? I have a hard time keeping up with the forum fads.CronoSquall
I don't think we hate him. I don't. He really is a master at what he does and is a great developer...but he does come off as arrogant sometimes.
But a lot of developers slip and say foolish things. Like how Miyamoto claimed he can make Halo for example. But Peter M. seems to do it more than others even when the game isn't out yet. I know he's excited about his game but he seems really over confident.
I'm just saying he can still promote his game and be excited about it without coming off like that.

Yeah, I know. I hear it all the time. I think it becomes a habit that people don't even realize they're saying it.
But it sucks when game magazines I read for a long time start blatantly doing it without being sorry for it. EGM is a shame. I don't think GamePro or Game Informer ever says anything like that.
