And to be fair, my response to you was snarky but you had it coming with the whole "chill" comment. If anybody needs to chill it's the trolls, so again, why direct your fire at me?
See, I'm a real person and when you take a shot at me, I'm going to fire at least three back in your direction. I don't feel the need for restraint when the best comments people can muster is "teh wrestling games sux." If my admonishment of their simplistic analysis offends you there really isn't much I can do about that.
My advice to you and all of the people paying lip service to this game would be to download the demo, spend some time with the tutorial, and see for yourself why this game is generating so much positive buzz. Even if you don't personally like the game, at least you will have a basis for evaluation.

To be fair, your response was out of line. Your commenting was very aggressive, and there was no need for it be so. I didn't comment about you personally or attack you in any fashion. The "Chill" was not intended to irritate, and the word itself doesnt' contain that connotation, unlike a word similar to "adorable."
I'm a real person as well, and I take offense when shots are unnecessarily taken at me.
I never played lip service to the game; lip service is agreeing with something without sincerity. Your criticisms are that people aren't giving the game a chance, just blowing it off. Your analysis doesn't make sense. And, if you want to get me a current-gen system and a broadband connection, I'd be more than happy to try the game. (The last sentence was a joke, not a smart-alec comment; I figured you needed this aside.)
Feel free to respond to this blasting me, but I'm done with this conversation.
See, now you're just being an obstinate pseudo intellectual, especially with that lip service definition. Lip service is an idiom and as such has evolved over time and generally speaking can be applied to people who are making false or baseless statements in an attempt to sound learned or to support popular opinion, so I think the term applies. Don't get me wrong, it's great you went and looked it up in some feeble attempt to place me into check, but those types of semantics really only serve to impede any viable discussion.
Also, I teach English-Literature, so employing wordgames really is going to blow up in your face. If you want to lecture me in the hopes of inflating your own ego or showing me up, you should probably choose another venue.
I do appreciate the attempt at levity but even more I appreciate the entirety of this conversation because sincerely, I meet so few true victims these days, which is what you've painted yourself as from the very start of this conversation. You really are the epitome of the passive/aggressive argument style that so many people use because they are unable or unwilling to do the research before opening their gaping maw. Granted, you really weren't the culprit in my original statement, but for reasons that only you seem to know, you feel the continuous need to engage in this debate because I hurt your feelings.
All things considered, the "adorable" adjective was a fairly astute comment, especially in light of that "I'll never enjoy UFC because of Grammaton" comment you wrote.
By the way, if you haven't played the UFC demo, why did you even post in this thread? You really do seem like an intelligent person. It's a shame you are more interested in being "right" than actually knowing what you are talking about.
Does this game let you create your own player? That would be pretty cool.ASK_Story
Yep.
First day I'm making Fedor.
Have you played the demo, Ask?

No, not yet. But me and my cousins are planning to get it so we can battle each other out. They say the controls are complicated but they like the game a lot. I'm all up for competition so I'm definitely getting it for sure. Since they don't play SFIV this looks like a great game to play since they're into UFC. So I'm excited to play with them.
I still think SFIV will be the better fighting game at the end...but of course, I'm a little bias since I love SFIV. My cousins will think UFC is better, but I'll make them eat their words when I destroy them online in Undisputed! :D
Just kidding...they're really good at games so we'll probably be neck-and-neck. Sound like it will be a blast!
