I have a problem with the hypocrisy of Sony. The Last of Us part 2 Ellie being a lesbian has potential of sexual relationship being shown on screen with actual nudity. while if a Japanese developer wants to localize a slightly sexualized anime game examples being partial nudity, shows a panty, or has a offensive outfit such a swimsuit, bunny girl, sailor uniform etc they will be forced to removed, censor, or the game can be out right banned. lgbt equal progresive while anime equal offensive and must be censored.

atlus has censored persona 5 R trans dialog for western release. Catherine full body had trans dialog removed, Tokyo Mirage Season was censored for both western releases and the japanese switch version was also censored. japanese switch version sold worse than the wii-u version.

countless other Japanese games have been censored and there a 50/50 chance if the ps4 version is censored the pc version is censored as well.

I'd just want faithful localization no dialog changes or cut content we don't want to become like china where everything is censored can't even show time travel or supernatural things like skeletons.

Think the person in question @duncancameron23 probably just made the thread on a whim, with a trending title- 'political agenda'; and didn't think of short-term or long-term debate.

I've noticed slapping certain titles to threads is just for bait, over focus.

If you enjoyed the first one then you will buy 2. Politics and video games shouldn't be in the same sentence in my opinion.

Opening the trailer with a kiss was so cringey and makes their social justice obvious. I don't even remember the last time any film or game was revealed with a straight kiss, and I don't know why anyone would do that. I will still play it, though.

- You lost me at this part. I agreed with everything else you said but this. People are too sensitive to politics these days that they turn anything they don't like into something political.

As a female gamer I am happy to see reasonable changes in video games, not just in story-line, but also character visuals, including how female characters are presented, what clothing they wear, what special costumes are released for them etc.. It's important not to be too overly excitable about everything in a game though. I will be playing it because I loved the first one. I will have to just see for myself if there is too much political propaganda or not. Even if there is it might have to be to an extremely insulting level for it to ruin my game play, if the game play is really good. I may ignore the pandering. People like to express their views in art a lot but I'm not sure if video games are the best venue to do it since it can insult a lot of the players. It will remain to be seen I suppose. It shouldn't just be assumed that only men might be insulted or uncomfortable with overly feminized propaganda, millions of women are also turned off if they fly over the rainbow with it and get too obsessive.

@nepu7supastar7: I agree and disagree with your post about "all female casts." In some cases overt pandering can cause issues where it ruins certain titles, however it doesn't always. In FF10-2 which was all female the game was extremely popular and sold millions of copies. I have to say I wasn't the hugest fan of no male leads, or wearing dresses for combat lol but it was still fun. Now look at FF 15 will an all male lead. It's probably for me the worst FF ever made. All emo style males pushing old cars around and fishing. Meh lolol. Maybe the issues wasn't the all male cast as much as they were too similar to each other and the game was quite boring.

This game was never on my radar and doesn’t make me want to rush and buy a PS4. While I’m not impressed with the hard left propaganda ND is trying to shove down our throats, the gameplay of these movie games leave a lot to be desired.
