Hard to tell, but I can imagine still playing games at age 60. But I probably will not be playing much because as the years go by, I find myself slightly playing less and less.
it will be very likely, It is a long while till I will hit my 60's but I enjoy gaming more then any other kind of entertainment.
I know plenty of people in their 50s, 60s and 70s who play games though they tend to play games like Flight Simulator or Silent Hunter or Train Simulator over run and gun games like CoD. Even the resident manager of my apartment complex plays games and she is pushing 70 though she likes Bejeweled and poker. Come to think of it, I am closer to 50 than 40 and I still play games.
Do people in their 60's still listen to jazz or classic rock? Or watch the life time channel? Pretty sure everyone will still be gaming. Now the thing will be, will we be stuck using buttons and controllers, while the "young, hip kids" use augmented reality?PalmPixiYa know, youngsters, when I was your age we only had only eight buttons, two analog sticks and a d-pad on our controllers. We didn't have this "Augmented reality garbage." Why are acting out your Call of Duty game? Sit on your ass and game the old fashioned way. :P
Of course, I will always be a gamer until the day I die and plus when I have kids it even gives more reason to play them. Consoles are entertainment systems afterall.
If soit'd be mostly casuals than anything. I'm already losing some of my interest in gaming and I'm 21.
33, Don't really play all that often now so I would doubt it. With the advances in computers and games in general I could not imagine a 60 year old being physically able to play the current generation of games in 40 years, I would imagine some sort of virtual control that would require a lot more movement from the user then there is now. I doubt that 40 years from now they will stillmostly usethier hands and fingers to play a game, which is why I will keep my sega genesis!
My dad is almost 60 and he stil plays games ;) Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Assassin's Creed, you name it.
If I still play video games when I'm 60 either it will mean I'm forever alone or I have kids to game with.
Of course I will. I started out on the atari back in the late 70s and I am still playing vids but only ona more modern console. My aunt is 60 and still plays video games. I am in my forties and I love it! I wont stop untill I drop dead.
Hahaha:D nice question.. Well my answer is yes because gamerz are alwayas ahead..If gaming is the hobby then we play even we are old.. because a person cannot change his hobbies..
