any new gen system... (PS3, XBOX 360 and ofcourse the Wii)
why? well (IMO that is!) the new gen systems aren't gaming consoles anymore they've got INTERNET! unlike gaming consoles as nintendo 64 for example

Games make a system and the only good 3DO game I can remember is The Need for Speed. The 3DO is the worst in my opinion. Not only, and I quote "Plumbers dont wear ties", for christ sake it was made by 'Panasonic'!
Most of the Sega's other than Sega CD and 32X should NOT be up there; even though the SCD and 32X have theyre share of good games, they were bad decisions which helped ruin Sega (and in my opinion is the only reason they SHOULD be up there).
Atari MADE gaming and also should not be up there.
The Apple Pippin SHOULD be up there.
The Odyssey should also be up there. It is hardly a gaming system.
Oh and most definately the Phillips CD-i. What an abomination.
The Xbox 360 isnt a bad system, it just had bad failure rates, which have now been reduced and I am a proud owner.
The Wii is also a good system, but I cannot stress CASUAL enough.
even though it has 90% of the same games as ps3 and has better color graphics than it and the fact it sold more? your sick man very sick. if you say 360 is the worst then you need to learn better about gaming consoles in the pastThe XBOX 360 is worst gaming system ever made. Hell its a embarrassment, it may have a robust library of great games, but these hardware failures are just downright embarrassing.

A lot of Dreamcast games were also available on PS1 with little difference. The systems he chose to put up as a pole are there because they all failed and did not complete their life cycles. The Dreamcast was not the worst system but it is not god because no system is.
and SNES did kick butt for it's day. It did things that genesis could only dream of doing. Virtua Boy hands down the worst ever. I can't believe the same guy started Super Metroid, one of the best action games of all time.
Guys! You must watch Angry Video Game Nerd about 3DO, there are tons of ridiculous games! I think it's even worse than Visual Boy...

You think wrong.
The 3DO at least had:
Virtual Boy was physically impossible to play for more than 30 minutes without having to get your neck and back realigned by a doctor.
This poll isnt even a contest.
Your poll should have been "Worst gaming system ever made that wasnt a Virtual Boy"
Dreamcast is arguably the greatest system of all time, certainly not the worst system ever made, Saturn is also a very strong platform. 32X is garbage, and SEGA CD is actually a good system (Final Fight CD, Lunar 1 and 2, Sonic CD, Popful Mail, Silpheed etc.) even though it was overpriced in it's day, regardless they are not systems they are add-ons, and as such technically do not count since they are not stand alone units.
Anyways I voted Virtual Boy as never before has a video game system given me migraines with almost every single game available for it, and I only say almost because I have not played them all. The CD-i and Pippin were bad, but atleast they didn't come with adverse health effects.
[QUOTE="NicAgent"]Anyone here remember the Atari Lynx? That was before my time but like it was the first color handheld.LithuanianGamerI remember, but Apple Pippen was way worse I see, how can you even take in the fact that an expensive console that releases so few games even exist? And that controller...
Anyone who votes Atari 2600 is absolutely insane.
I don't know the worst console because I've never played the Virtual Boy or Sega CD, but I think all consoles have some good games and are worth owning. No, you don't want a Jaguar alone or even in competition with SNES or even NES back in the day. But, nowadays, a Jag is cool to have.
i chose other because of the magnavox oddysey. it was the first home console ever made. there werent really games, just these stickers to put on the tv screen, they didn't have titles, all the games were numbered. there were no one, three, or four player games. you needed to have 1 other friend with you to play it. oter company's have mascots (e.g. nintendo>mario, sega>sonic, microsoft>master chief) but for magnavox it would be the white dot. dont ask.
This poll is dumb, you can't put multiple system under one choice. The results will be meaningless.
amsfm6
i wouldnt say dumb, but i think the poll could be reworked. I have to say the virtual boy either way though.
but i wouldve said 1) Virtual Boy, 2) Sega CD 3) Sega Saturn 4) Philips CD-I or 5) Atari Jaguar. no need to lump them together is right.
atari for almost destroing video games and the xbox 360 for all the rrod,
pela_yo
Atari...what? Which one? At least the 2600 was a landmark in computer gaming.
I don't own a 360, but despite the RRoD, the 360 at least has a number of great games, unlike, for instance, the Gizmondo and CDi.
Woah, how could the Atari 2600 possibly be the worst gaming system ever made? It was the great grand-daddy of all video game systems. It belongs right up there with the NES.
The Atari 7800, on the other hand... well, it was certainly forgettable.
Philips CD-i is way down there, but I actually owned one and had fun playing generic games of Battleship and Golf. Nostalgia can make anything seem better than it was.
