Would you like to play on GameSpot Game Servers?

If I learn, I wouldn't mind supporting one of my own servers for US West.

Still would have to learn how to maintain it though.

I have many times thought of the joys of some sort of new segment entitled "Gamespot vs. The World" where Gamespot staff takes on their fans in head-on gaming competition. For example would I love to challenge Danny O'Dwyer, Mark Walton or any of the Gamespot-staff in a not-so-friendly game of FIFA Pro-clubs match :)

I would totally watch segments of this show featuring 6 members vs. 6 Gamespot-staff "Titanfall"-match. I tried to join some GTA V-servers with Gamespot-staff on a while ago, but I couldn't connect. I've also tried to join The Last of Us matches with Chris Waters, but no luck :p

Sounds like GiantBomb's Thursday Night Throwdown type of a show. GameSpot should do it.

Not as yet. There have not been many votes although it's heavily positive. I'll see if I can get @DigitalDame to voice her thoughts.

Though with other website related issues and E3 on it's way it wouldn't really be a priority. It would be nice to hear a maybe...

If something fun or otherwise memorable happens on the servers, I hope we will see videos on Gamespot.

We could have game/kill of the week, or High score runs the choices are endless....

I agree that its not the highest priority right now, but I hope we go through with it soon. I haven't actually party up and play with others in years.

Over at the GD Lounge, some people (including me) have been having a discussion in doing a retro game night on consoles. It sounds like a perfect alternative for people that don't play on PC or for people that just want to play older mutiplayer games with other GS members.

Sounds great. It would be a good way to promote the whole the idea to everyone. And if a GameSpot staff member doesn't record the games, it could be super easy for anyone of us to do it.

I love seeing this kind of excitement surrounding community events like this. Let me see what I can put together. I won't be able to present to the editorial team until after E3 (things are crazy in the office, this year is going to be AWESOME) but on the upside that gives us (the community) ample time to coordinate.

I hope this eventually happens because I want to play and talk to others. I haven't done that in years believe it or not.
