Each job requires brain work. :| I would go with game reviewer because you can take your time with each review and unleash your inner most thoughtful opinions. Being a game developer uses brain work to compromise decisions and ideas with other people.
I'd rather be a developer in a heart beat. Not only does it pay a hell of a lot more, but who wouldn't want to be able to work on the game of their dreams? Being a game reviewer would be a pretty cool job too, though. I'd happily take either job if given the chance.
Reviewer, I am already good at expressing my opinions about games in as much of an objective way as I can and I would prefer to play games than to make them. I could see myself coming up with ideas but I would never be capable of bringing those ideas to life.
I'd rather be a professional reviewer. Being a game developer is a risky business unless you're already employed at a successful company because of how unpredictable and volatile the gaming market can be.
I would rather be a reviewer because i like playing games but i dont want to make them, and like any other gamer who plays games judge it after awhile so getting paid to review games is alright with me since in a way, i already review alot if them.
I've read nothing but horrible things about being a game developer. Kids have that mentality "MAKING GAMES FOR LIVINGZ WHO WOULDNT WANT TO DEW THAT?!!!?!" I have read it is one of the most stressful jobs there is, crazy hours, and entry level pay is pretty bad. An entry level programmer with a computer science degree working on a video games makes half of what he would be making if he would have just gone with doing normal software. At least this is what I have read. I haven't experienced it myself, but I believe it.
