[QUOTE="Darkman2007"][QUOTE="StatusShuffle"][QUOTE="Darkman2007"] Im talking in comparison to the original Mega Drive versions, didnt say anything about the Game.com.

There's a megadrive version of Sonic Jam?

are you even aware what Sonic Jam is?

To my knowledge a Saturn game, so if the original was a saturn game then why did you say the saturn version was better than the original? Go back a couple of posts where you said that exact thing.

its a compilation of Sonic 1/2/3/Knuckles. so when I say " its better than the original Mega Drive versions" I mean , that the games in Sonic Jam are better than the Mega Drive originals.

imo , its the best way to play the old Sonic games , almost flawless ports (Ive heard some people complaining about minor things, but thats always going to happen) , that add a bunch of stuff to the games. of course there is also the 3D world.

no , Sonic Xtreme was handled by a US team and had nothing to do with the the 3D world. I think it was really an experiment by Sonic Team over how a 3D Sonic game should be .

Well, i hope Sonic R didn't come from that idea. Edit: Although the engine they used for it would have been great if they made a full Sonic game for it, instead they used it for Sonic R, i think they could have used that engine for better things instead of a rushed racing game. Many spots on the tracks are unfinished.

Sonic R also has nothing to do with the 3D world, as Sonic R was made by Tantalus, which is a British developer. the engine was their own , and frankly is one of the best 3D engines Ive seen on the Saturn (regardless of the gameplay)

Yeah i don't think enough people put much effort into making unique engines for the Saturn. Sonic R is among the best looking engines I have seen graphics wise, along with some of Segas own engines. On topic from that, I notice that a lot of Saturn games whether emulated by PC collections, DLC, or etc. all seem to run much worse UNLESS they are using Sega's which might be a good way to show that a lot of if not most devs on the Saturn didn't put much effort into the engines for their games on the Saturn.

actually most games on the Saturn do use alot of unique code, its just that its not always well optimized, though I can't really blame devs for it.
