Which of the GC or XBOX rpg library's would you take if PS2 was $3000 and you could not afford it, or it never existed? Comparison of the top of each= Gamecube XBOX Which library would you rather have?

GC. I'm a bigger fan of JRPGs and the GC has Skies of Arcadia, which is one of my favorite games ever.

5 out of 12 is most? Not only that, PC has nothing to do with this, PC or not, it's which library would you take, and going by your post here i would say you would take the Xbox's if the case of these two only being were indeed true.

Huh? PC has everything to do with it. Those xbox rpgs are not exclusive so they shouldn't be counted. GC is better anyway.

Skies of Arcadia, Fire Emblem: PoR, Tales of Symphonia, Paper Mario: TTYD... any one of those 4 beats the entire Xbox line up for me. Lost Kingdoms II is also a guilty pleasure of mine (I actually just finished my second play through of the game a few hours ago). Crystal Chronicles was pretty good too, especially if you could get multiplayer going, even if it was just with one person although it's single player certainly wasn't bad.

By a far mile, XBox. Morrowind alone trumps every RPG on the Gamecube. Then you have Fable, Jade Empire, Arx Fatalis, Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and others.

Easy choice.. Gamecube. Tend to find WRPGs incredibly boring.

I pick the GC but only because I prefer JRPGs over WRPGs. KOTOR was great on the PC at least.

Still need to get KOTOR2 but on the superior PC.

Morrowind is very boring IMO with terrible combat.

Zelda 1 had better combat then Morrowind

You can play Final Fantasy VII and VIII on the PC. Does that keep them from being part of the PS1 RPG library?

actually, 7 out of 12: Kotor, Kotor 2, Morrowind, Fable, Jade Empire, Sudeki and Arx Fatalis

and yes, if all of the xbox games here were exclusive to the Xbox, I'd probably go with the Xbox library

there are a few non exclusives on the GC side as well, like virtua quest, summoner (which is also on PC BTW), Skies of Arcadia and Megaman X command mission

Not even all of those. Skies of Arcadia was on Dreamcast first. And who cares if those other games are also on PC. They AREN'T on Gamecube. So it doesn't make the Gamecube better. Just the same, it shouldn't matter that Gamecube's games are on Dreamcast, because they aren't on XBox.

I hate when ppl put PC in the equation whenever Xbox is being discussed but don't mention the fact that a lot of ps1 "exclusives" are also on the PC.

that's actually because it's a b1tch to get those PS1 games to run on PC.

Also a lot of them are terrible ports *coughs* Final Fantasy 7 and 8* coughs*

A lot of them are also on Saturn as well, since Saturn doesn't have games was very common and most people forget the Saturn exists in PSX comparisions with everything else. Not to mention the Gamecube has PC/PS2/Dreamcast games (although PS2 does not exist in this particular topic.

Gamecube by far, though I do love KOTOR. It's hard to beat the trifecta of Fire Emblem, Skies of Arcadia, and Tales of Symphonia. Baten Kaitos is pretty awesome too.

No and are they in English?

they are

Phantom Dust is considered to be a great RPG for the Xbox

also, if we're using multiplats, should Shenmue 2 be there as well?

There are some nice titles up there for the GCN, but I'll go with Xbox because of Morrowind and KotOR.

Don't see either of them on any Rpg lists at all, which is why I asked. Also Shenmue is not an RPG.

I can count KotOR but I honestly can not sit down and play Morrowind on the Xbox. I prefer JRPGs to WRPGs anyways though, so GC.

Phantom Dust is more times mentioned in Action Game lists than in RPG lists, to be honest, but it is an RPG, and yeah it's in english.
