Reading that page, this is more of an issue for me and is exactly the reasons why I'm not buying it:

Looks like they've officially given up on trying to appeal to the Japanese market, too. It's not even working in Japan at launch. Wouldn't even be surprised if the Xbox One is never sold there, either.1PMrFisterI saw a report saying it is coming to parts of East Asia in late 2014, but oddly enough Japan wasn't one of the countries listed. I don't know if that means they get it sooner or later or what.
XBox isn't that popular in Japan though, is it? I remember hearing how games like Blue Dragon and Halo helped in getting systems sold, but not much else. Sony has always been the dominating market over there, haven't they? I just don't think they should even bother selling it in Japan unless people over there wanted it THAT BADLY.
Hey Microsoft the 2nd language spoken in your Redmond cafeteria is Romanian! Way to support your peeps MS!

Well, Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 are both confirmed for Xbox One release, which means they have Japanese developers working on the system. The real question is if those Xbone versions will ever see release in Japan. There were quite a few Japanese multiplats that didn't get released for the 360 in their native country.

Again, why bother with the XBone versions over in Japan when they'll also be on PS4? Again, Sony appears to be the more dominant company in terms of gaming over in Japan right now, so I don't think the Japanese will have a problem playing it, unless if they don't own a PS4...then that would be different. :P

It's true. MS is full of Romanians. But I will be honest...piracy back home is NO joke. Same for the rest of Eastern Europe and that goes for Poland too.
People have "arcade PS3's and 360's" on the side of the road with nothing but pirated copies charging you by half hour playing times. You can't stop it.
Well I won't speak for all countries, but people do realize that a lot of those Eastern European countries that are blacked out were never officially supported by the Xbox or Xbox 360 either right? It's a whooole different world in Eastern Europe. I wouldn't worry too much about them.
Microsoft wishes they won't figure out a way to play it:P
Microsoft is making such ridiculous decisions with this console, it's like they want Sony to dominate worldwide PS2-style.
So f*** south america then...?Rod90
Well Brazil does account for over 50% of South America population, but still this is ridiculous.

What about other countries in Western Europe that are also blacked out?

I can't speak for Portugal. I just know what we do wrong. I don't think I have the courage to open up a business back home. Especially a video game business. No idea what's up with Portugal.

I guess they feel it's a small market. They're probably right.
So no to Africa, Middle east and South Asia. Makes sense since most of those countries have rampant piracy.
Still, mind boggling how MS is hell bent on cock blocking themselves.
Well, Xbox Live was never officially supported here so this isn't news. You can just make a foreign account (I'm Canadian!)...unless they're now blocking the actual ISP. :?

That reminds me......When PS3 was launched...it wasn't supported here in Mexico (almost 2 years for them to support Mexico, Central and South America), so I made a US account, the one that I primary use, problem is that I couldn't buy nothing from PS Store, until I could get US PSN codes via the web.
If M$ decide to block the ISP.....they're doomed......
I think they are ISP blocking I mean it makes sense since it has to be basically always online...Well, Xbox Live was never officially supported here so this isn't news. You can just make a foreign account (I'm Canadian!)...unless they're now blocking the actual ISP. :?

The part of Canada IÂ live in isn't colored in.
I'm just assuming that's an error made by the map maker. There's no way in hell Microsoft would even try to pull crap like that.
Yeah, we think the map maker missed some spots. If you notice, Florida and Maine aren't colored in for the US.The part of Canada IÂ live in isn't colored in.
