When I was 5 my favorite games were Pac-Man, Super Breakout, Galaxian and Moon Patrol.
When I was 10 my favorite games were Mario and Zelda.
When I was 15 my favorite games were Street Fighter and Final Fight.
When I was 20 my favorite game was Metal Gear Solid. PERIOD.
Now that I'm thirty I just love all of'em. I lean more toward Neo Geo and SNES type games though.
The first video game I ever played was Alex the Kidd for the Sega Genesis. I'm only 16, but proud to say I was around for that generation. However, my favorite game as a kid was without a doubt Banjo-Kazooie. I loved, no I love that game. I hear that Rare is porting it to the 360, the day that hits shelves or XBL is the day I own it.

By the time I got my PS2, GBA and XBox I was a bit older so I wouldn't really call my self a "kid" by that point.

HOLY CRAP I love you. I've been ravaging my brain for months now about what the title of that game was, I typed it into Google, and sure enough, this popped up:
I used to play this game all the time as a kid and now I finally remember what the name is because of you. Thank you. I wonder what the chances of this game coming to Virtual Console or XBLA is.
Wow I feel old.
I spent hours playing Super Mario Brothers when it first came out. So that of course was one of my favorites. I still spent time with my Atari though.
I would have to say my favorite game as a kid was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time for the Super Nintendo. I also spent alot of time playing the Double Dragon and Battle Toads games.

Ooooh, dude, did you ever play Battle Toads Double Dragon for the SNES? That game was the best of any Double Dragon or Battletoads game. Especially played with a friend.
