I had it preordered and preloaded on Steam, and forced myself to find good things about this game..

I saw the reviews and said w/e they shouldmt matter.

but then I played it.

The "Campaign" was a complete joke.

This game was funded and was in devleopment for a good amount of time..

and its basically just multiplayer with bots ?! wiuth meaningless cutscenes?! at elast make the cutscenes meaningful ffs!!

The grenades dont kill but they 'knock down' enemies. Lol..!

Then comes the Multiplayer..

Its all objective. They force teamwork by forcing you to play objective. Mhmm.

There are some guns that are simply far better than any other gun. So why use the other guns?

Why should I use a handgun when I have a SMG that can be considered a primary weapon?

Often, I can shoot somebody with my whole clip, and they shoot me twice and I'll die right away while they have halfa bar of health left.. ridiculous. and this isn't lag btw. Trust me. this isnt the console version.

The one thing I DO like is the customization. But the faces look like frickin HORSES!! every single face looks downright ugly.

If you dont want to read this, watch this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhNy-S3t2dI&feature=feedu

It's a very accurate review imho.

What do you think of Brink?

the game design is rather quite fun, but it's a multiplayer game, playing it offline is doable in a non-enjoyable way, you can do so to boost your character classes for playing online, but it has to be played online if it's to be enjoyed, it's rather fun like that, but one of the biggest problems is their server having lag issues at times, if I keep searching I can find a game that works for me, but damn I can hit a lot of laggy games

Splash Damage hasn't done anything that merits buying this before trying a rental/demo, IMO. I know a few people who bought this on day 1, which boggles my mind. (And yeah, they traded it in.) Enemy Territory was fun, but that was a long time ago. If it's the Bethesda name that hooks people, two words: Rogue Warrior.

As far as the game itself, it's pretty mediocre, but I give them credit for trying some new things, at least.

A disappointing mess. Hopefully the game gets better with updates and DLC (more maps and game modes).

A few complaints: 1. Server lag is pretty intense and sometimes unplayable 2. Clunky movement (turning off head bob helps btw) 3. A lot of the guns feel the same... 4. Glitches - the game should have been delayed for another month or two Hopefully they'll patch it up really well and the DLC is top notch. They have been patching quite fast at least. Props to them for that. I still haven't touched it in over a week though.

Never played the game, and I probably never will. TF2 is a better game overall, quality-wise, if not in terms of quantity (an area which Brink seems to excel in, with its huge customization options). If I wanted a game like Brink, it would need to be much more polished. Even for someone who wants to go through the MP only, I am not going to pick up this game. Sorry, but Splash Damage will need to try harder next time.

well i love it. i have it on ps3. i have not seen any lag except for yesterday when my internet/cable was screwing up all day. i like the objective based mp. its pretty challenging doing the campaign online cuz of the parts where you HAVE to have someone doing the objective while others protect you. its def a breathe of fresh air from Black Ops. i look forward to the free DLC they promised. maybe im alone but i love the game

Extremely mediocre game, the customization is great, but anything else in the game is just... meh. What annoys me the most about this game is the setting, the Ark sounds like such an interesting place, yet it feels more like just another background for you to shoot people in instead of a true city enriched with history and such. They could've made something truly amazing with the setting and story of the game, but instead they just plop you into one of the warring factions, point you to the bad guy and leave you to shoot them without giving you proper motivation as to why you're doing it. I still honestly believe that this game could've turned out to be a much better single-player game instead of an multi-player game, such a sad way to waste such an interesting concept.

Better luck next time. At least Splash Damage tried to offer diversity. APB also failed in a similar way. It just needs to nail it down properly. After all, many shooters are stale these days because there aren't enough options for weapons, appearance, maps, etc. Not to mention the fact that a lot of the gameplay in most of them is watered-down.
