Red Dead Redemption

I don't know about you, but I cannot wait to play the Red Dead Redemption (single player and multiplayer). I think we should explore the multipayer next Wednesday, but I'm concerned that some of you won't have the game by then. In fact, I need to pre-order my copy today just in case they get sold out for being a RockStar game. 

Here is how this will work,

Wednesday May 19: If you are an early bird purchaser of this game, we'll see you this Wednesday for some multiplayer exploration! You might not have all of your friends to play so join us GameSpotters for some action! I'll also get some recording done with this game, but note that I'll be playing this on the X360 so I'll need to ask other editorial staff to play the PS3 version. 

Wednesday May 26: By now those of you who are weekend purchasers you should have this game and played enough of the single player over the weekend. You might have your buddies who already have it so you have played some MP matches too. Why not get in some games with other GameSpotters and work towards any achievements (if there are any for MP) on this night! I might also record via Xbox 360 here too!

There will probably be some more info to share soon, but in the meantime.. drop by the gamespace if you have no clue about this game. And, consider renting or buying it for at least one of these game nights.

I had fun, made it from level 2 to 7. I liked that the first thing I did was ride my donkey for about 10minutes trying to catch up to everyone, then shot the last guy left in the mission. 

Best thing about a full posse of mostly low levels, not much horse variety, so when we all call for horses, or in my case a donkey, when I take a horse instead no one knows if it was their horse or not.

My character sitting as a passenger on the wagon with a rifle drawn reminded me of Steve McQueen in The Magnificent Seven, the back of the model looked a little similar.

Thanks to Jody, Ryan, Real and others for taking the time to invite me.  I know RDR's network issues were quite frustrating, but I sure had a fun time.

Can't believe I made it onto the stream :lol:  Will there be another live stream for next week?  Need to get some more guys on there :D

i'm working on the complete all hidouts in free roam and i already have the wanted for 10 minutes. I want to go for the win 4 consecutive matches. but i doubt i'll be able to participate because i've been having horrible connection issues with this game.

I need all of those. I think the only achievement I got for the online was to kill someone with the rockstar achievement.

Get from Blackwater to Escalera before sundown in a public Free Roam session.

Create a posse and get the maximum number of members.

Be the top scoring player in any three consecutive FFA games in public matches.

Get 10 assists in a single Hideout in a public Free Roam session.

Some other not so hard achievements.

I also need Posse Up.

Riding from town to town, we'll have to get out stagecoach driver back so we can all sit back and relax until the achievement pops up. Enjoy some hunting from the windows.

I don't know about 10 assists. That would be very hard if we get a big group going again. I just did it today with one of my friends though, very easy to get.

Yea it requires coordination that a big group wouldn't have.

I love my spingfield rifle. Most kills in both PVP matches we played. I also love throwing knifes, so many knife kills in free roam.  

Had fun holding out against the Mexican Army with Jody and Martial. Got my Most Wanted achievement and my 500 kills with a rifle/shotgun achievement. 

I had a blast guys, although I was totally outgunned by Dan_Lero...
