Vote for your favorite Ghost! Can't quite remember, here's a little video to help you decide which Ghost is the better fit.
Maybe I'm used to it having played and beaten the story of the game several months back...but I have to go with the Dinklebot.
I loved the dinklebot from the start. Considering the few lines he has it was always a joy having him at my side.
Idk, I like Nolan North in general, but I really think that Dinklage did a much better job with the voice tbh.
I personally really liked Dinklage. Nolan is an excellent voice actor, but his take on the ghost is so "peppy", it kind of bums me out.
Dinklage did a massively better job as the Ghost voice, I said it and I will say it a million more times, he struck the correct balance between human emotion and robotic AI, he put emphasis where was needed and sounded more robotic monotone also where needed.
I'm in no way bashing North with this, but honestly, his Ghost sounds like a kid talking inside a coke can, it's distracting and completely takes away from the game's atmosphere in my opinion, every time I hear him talk whatever tension or epicness vibe was in the air is completely destroyed.
I don't blame neither of them for the poor Ghost performance (although I think Dinklage didn't do anything wrong), I blame whoever is behind the voice acting direction for Ghost, he clearly isn't the right person for the job. Too bad we are stuck with this Ghost now, I doubt they'll ever change the VA again.
I really like Peter Dinklage's voice and was originally thrilled to have him as my companion in this game (being a big fan of Game of Thrones). But I found his performance wasn't dynamic enough. As I played the game it didn't immerse me enough into the game-play and story as I had hoped. I think he took too much of a subtle approach. Nolan on the other hand, perhaps due to his extensive experience, adds a lot more dynamic and makes everything he says more immersive and epic, thus raising the tone of the game overall. I am disappointed that Peter didn't work out and didn't elevate the game in the way it needed. Anyway, there are my reasons for voting for Nolan. And yet, Peter will always be a classic.
From Nathan Drake to Desmond Miles, we know what prestigious reputation Nolan North has in the gaming industry, but that doesn't give Bungie a good reason to make up a bogus excuse to dismiss every lasting dialogue of Peter Dinklage. Though a lot of people weren't too big of fans of Destiny, I enjoyed every bit of it, because it had everything I expected, it wasn't Halo 3, but Bungie successfully managed to kickstart a brand new series, but lately with their legal issues with the composer and what the story might've actually turned out to be like and dropping Dinklage, they're ruining their own self image at this point. Honestly I enjoyed Dinklage a lot more compared to North, because of that feel he gives to the player in the moment, it's not really something I can go into depth about but i'm sure whomever comes across this understands what i'm trying to explain. If I were Bungie I'd give the PLAYER, the option to choose whomever he/she desires to carry on as the Ghost in their game, in the settings option.
@GameSpot: I always liked Dinklebot. Dinklage's execution was good and the lines were fine. The issue with the ghost is you can't expect a little robot to tell all the story, especially if he's always talking about stuff nobody knows anything about and says little to begin with. Destiny's weak and non existent story was the main issue. Put the cards in game and explain more to us via something other than the ghost. NPCs in the world that have something to say would go a long way.

Yeah agreed.
@chillarius: Hope they end up doing this at some point in time, the way Call of Duty Ghosts had the dlc where you choose who you want to narrate your multiplayer experience, I wouldn't at all mind paying $5 to bring Dinklage back, no disrespect to North
Wow how can people vote anything else than North , the one and only legend and huge talent in voice acting.
He does the same goddamn voice in every role.
Except Penguin in the Arkham games.

"except" a lot of things. Look him up on imdb. He does a lot of different voices, but that's hardly a measure of acting talent, anyway. You wouldn't say about a live action actor " oh he's always using the same voice."
Anybody that can go from Stephen Heck in Alpha Protocol to David in the Last of Us has impressive range. Dude is top notch, but I'm not going to judge him on his performance in Destiny any more than I would judge Ben Kingsley in a Uwe Boll movie. Destiny's writing is shit. It's no wonder Dinklage walked through it...I mean, if you were an actor of his caliber, would you get up for that shit?
No voice actor is going fix this mediocre game, so why bother? Move on...
PS: Tyrion Lannestor is my favorite character in Game of Thrones along with Jon Snow, so I like Peter Dinklage. But who cares.

Spot on, Dinklage is a Actor and not just a voiceover artist. He is incredible in GoT and pretty much one of the reasons there is to watch that show.
Dinklage probably said no thanks and went on his way to better and bigger things.
