lol, no. No company bats a thousand, though. Sad to say, all the other smart phones are going to suck by comparison. :PI have a feeling a certain mod and a banhammer are coming your way :P

Another person that sees the light!
But anyway, now that you're free from Apple, get a Droid phone. You get a the best phone OS around with tons of apps, features, and total freedom with customization.

I'm getting the Droid X next month, sure I could get the Droid 2, but the X has more features unless Motorola announces the Droid X^2

Actually some of the newest Samsungs, HTCs, and Droids are really strong competitors.Â

I plan on getting myself a smartphone soon (or until my contract expires in April 2011 :(). I would get myself a Droid X, but I need a keyboard on my phone since I do a lot of texting (don't talk to me about touchscreen keyboards because they all suck)

Which is a great mobile OS. :?
On topic, I recommend the Droid X. It's a massive phone but it's packing some serious power under the hood.Â

Well then, the Droid 2 is suited for you.
It's a shame Palm went under, because their OS was (is) more appealing than Android. The Palm OS powered tablet will be the first one to put any pressure on the iPad and iOS.Which is a great mobile OS. :?

I have a very good track record with Apple products.
A 5-years old iPod, two 4-years old iPod Nano, almost 3-years old iPod Touch and 2-years old iPhone work perfectly.
I have had my iTouch for a couple of years and an iPod for 4 years and I have not a had a single problem with them at all /shrugs.
Come to think of it...I've never had anything die on me unless someone messed with it (I ended up having to get a second PS1 because my sister took out the thing that makes the discs spin).
(don't talk to me about touchscreen keyboards because they all suck)blizzvalveThe next phone I get (hopefully an iPhone *crosses Verizon fingers*) will specifically NOT have a physical keyboard. I can type much faster on an iOS keyboard than I can on my physical (highly rated) blackberry tour keyboard.
the only electronic that failed on me was a Gamecube... that's right, Gamecube. Screw you Nintendo and your faulty hardware!!! yoshi_64

I know. Nintendo hardware is nigh on indestructible.

They you must have really small hands because on every single touchscreen i've used, I've always had a problem using the keyboard. The keys are usually way too small (even on the horizontal side) and it always hits the key next to the one I want to use. I need physical keys so I can actually feel and press the keys I want to use.

Actually my hands are pretty huge. Octave and a fourth hands, if anyone knows what that means. :P I actually think the keyboard is too big horizontally. I prefer the vertical keyboard (unless i"m using my iPad).

Yeah I hate those cramped little things. I also hate the keyboard on the Droid.
The iPhone keyboard took me a month or to get used to, but now I really like it. Touch keyboards can be very fast.

you didn't know Apple products have the durability of wet paper? and you didn't already hate them for their outrageous brand name pricing? for shame-The-G-Man-
I thought this (especially the massive Apple tax) was common knowledge. :?

I'm no Apple fan but this is just getting ridiculous. What's next, they steal your girlfriend when you're not looking?
Apple's products do (generally) work, and work for a long time.
That being said, they are largely overpriced versions of already existing devices (computers, smartphones).
The iPod Touch I'll give credit to though. It's still very expensive, but of all the products they offer, it comes the closest to that "you get what you pay for" mark.
I've had my original iphone since launch in 2007 with zero problems. I think you are trolling. ;)Heil68lol. I've had the 4GB 2G model since 2007 as well, and the only issue I have is dead pixels which is very annoying... but not worth replacing for 200$ :P

True that. iPod touch is the only Apple product I own.Â

iPods are expensive, but in the long run, well worth it. The user interface is neat and simple. After owning a Zen for many years and switching to an iPod, all I can say is how much more convenient it is. iPods also have a lot of features, with the only missing ones being a microphone and radio, which have been added to the 5th generation Nano, along with a video camera.
