I'm trying to decide whether or not to go to the midnight launch at my Gamestop. Chances are I won't, so I'll just pick it up on Tuesday at some point during the day (I'm still on spring break :D)ragek1ll589
Same. I have state testing all week this week so I can't go to the midnight release. I have studying to do :(.
holy crap...I just saw the gametrailers review.
It seems that they corrected almost every problem I had with the past entries in the series.
1. The aiming is better, now with a over the shoulder view
2. Taxi's can warp you to places...so I could just use a taxi whenever I'm far away form a save point.
3. the police aren't as merciless
Now this really caught my eye: 10/10 review from Eurogamer. If one of the toughest sources out there is giving this a 10, then this game has officially reached epic proportions.HoffgodEurogamer, eh? Sheesh... good job Rockstar. :o
The current average on Gamerankings is a 99.1%. Could this possibly stand a chance in offsetting OoT?
Shin, you're not alone. My parents are vauely farmiliar with the series and all they know is that they don't like it for some reason. I hope the clerk doesn't tell them WHY it's rated M...
Oh yeah, GT gave this a 9.8
I watched the GameTrailer's review. Pretty sweet. They said it's easy, though.
Blizzvalve, sounds like you think no game should get above an 8. :?

O rly? I thought Kotaku said the missions were hard?
Personally, I'm up for a challenge...
I think I can safely say this will be one of the most overrated games out there, for me at least.goodlay
I'm thinking the same.
PS. After seeing the GameTrailers review, i'm now actually interested in the game. I like all the extras that how they said the characters and story were really good.
O rly? I thought Kotaku said the missions were hard? They said something along the lines of, we only got busted a handful of times, escaping wanted levels was easier, more accessible to common denominator.Personally, I'm up for a challenge...fuzzysquash
Not that any of that bothers me.

Well, they did change it to a system where police pursuit is based on sight, which will make things easier, but is a welcome change IMO to the "If you have more than one star get to a Pay-And-Spray now or the police will always know where you are and **** you up big time" system they used previously.Oh, I agree. Also, it being easier will be cool, because I... don't have as much time to dedicate to games that I'm willing to deal with frustration like that found in certain SA missions.JandurinI swear to god, if there's anything in this game that reaches the level of frustration I had with that mission "Supply Lines" in San Andreas, I'm going to flip a ****.

Seconded. A lot of people told me that Zero's missions were the hardest in SA, but no - it was just that one mission. They barely give you enough fuel to take down every target AND fly all the way back to the starting point. And the fact that you're working for a geek, taking out mail couriers with a remote-control airplane isn't exactly exciting or motivating.

Agree...hardest main mission in SA.

That mission is downright impossible, I don't care what anyone says. To this day I've never finished it. The ridiculous fuel mechanic combined with the fact that the damn plane didn't want to go where I told it (I said go left dammit! No! Not into the tree!) make it an excersize in frustration that I was not keen to repeat.
I'll be glad if there's nothing along those lines in GTA 4. I like a healthy dose of challenge as much as the next guy, but I'm no masochist.

No I don't. I just get dissapointed easily (even though I do like Assassin's Creed whch I got for $30 at EB Games new)
Well, the good news is Rockstar realizes how ridiculous that mission was because they made it much easier in the PC version (finished on first try with half my fuel left). The bad news is, if you got the PS2 version, you're still boned. That mission is downright impossible, I don't care what anyone says. To this day I've never finished it.
It wasn't that bad, guys. I mean, it was doable. Just more frustrating than it had a right to be.
