It says it is bad because it is more of the same. Yet Halo 3 was basically Halo 1 and 2, yet that was somehow the best game ever made.
I don't understand. How can one game get ripped on for more of the same and another not even mentioned.
Okay it is hard for me to provide a decent opinion since I have not played either. But in the trailer for R&C I saw some parts that were the exact same as the previous games. For example in the trailer was a part where you are grinding rails while trains are coming towards you, just lots of little things like that.It says it is bad because it is more of the same. Halo 3 had the forge system, you can record videos but apart from that it seems to be the same game.
Like I said, I have not played either so I can't really give a good opinion on the matter. But I have noticed things like this in other games, where something is a problem for one game but okay when another game does it.

There are better examples than Halo though. What about God Of War II, that was essentially God Of War I, yet it managed to recieve very high scores across the board.
Because its not on the MS platform.Heil68
You can't be serious.
Please don't bring that "GS is biased" crap in here. I see far too much of it already in SW.

Lets hope so. That anti-bias sticky topic in SW pretty much puts the bias mumbo jumbo to rest.Theres more AAA for the PS3 on gamespot than on the gamerankings.
That's not why it scored poorly. That isn't even in the 'bad' section. I don't think the criticism that it's too much like its predecessors is ever mentioned in the review.
It scored poorly because, in the reviewer's opinion, the gameplay and pacing was worse than its predecessors, and the story was bad.
