The x300 series is ATi's low end series cards. They work for some games, but particularly well for newer stuff, and definately not stuff like BF2, B & W 2, Fear, Far Cry, Doom 3, etc.

Well, the only reason you paid $2000 for it is because it was pre built. You could've bought all those components for far cheaper and gotten a decent GPU (The X300 is really what drags it down). That processor you have is pretty decent for today's games. If you get a better GPU (much better) you'll probably be able to play a good number of todays games at decent specs.

This is why people should do research on PC components before buying a computer. Companies like Dell will rip you off if you do not know your facts. I built the ultimate PC for less than $1500, and I have dual 17in LCD monitors.

Yeah, I guess, but it's good for things other than gaming. E6800? That's some powerful stuff. You'd have the best PC around.
