Considering the latter is one of the best episodes of the show, and the former is what introduced the whole 'meaning of beign an Avatar (which ties into what happened in the finale)', I say no problem.

Aside from the fact that it's not Japanese, pretty much. From the artstyIe to the fight scenes to the overarching plot, it really resembles a shounen anime.
