The Gamecube version will probably score higher. The graphics are more impressive taking into account that it's less powerful hardware and i'm more than a little skeptical about how well the Wiimote has been implemented into the Wii version. The HUD on the Wii version also looks quite intruding since representing the whole Wiimote context sensitively takes up a lot of screen space. I prefer my games to have minimal HUD so that I can see their beauty in the best way possible which is why I like the GC version better - a very picky reason yes, but it just bugged me from day one. Maybe.....no, hopefully i'm wrong and the Wiimote makes the whole game a lot better to play overall but I guess I should just shut up and wait and see. Nevertheless it will definetely be AAA on both platforms.
9.5 + It was delayed a whole year, and Nintendo openly claims its the most beautiful and by far the best game they have ever created. I definately have high expectations.
Then what is? It's only competetition is Gears of War, it's a toss-up between those two. Someone forgot GRAW, Oblivion, Okami, FFXII....Okami, yes that's a contender, too. FF12, it's a gamble, FF games haven't been as good lately. GRAW isn't really in the same league in terms of hype, even if it's fairly highly rated. Oblivion, maybe, but the two I suggested will be fresh in the GS staff's minds, Oblivion's magic will have long worn off by now. But Okami, yes that's a contender, certainly.

This game got a 40/40 in Famitsu magizine, the First FF to do that. It is right up there with OOT, Vegrant story, and Crono cross.
The GC version wasn't canned. That was just a rumor that was proven to be false.linkhero1
Just given the circumstances of things (coming out later than wii version, having less units for it, etc), it could be very possible for it to become real eventually.
