Totally unsurprised. :| While I don't really see a problem with his whole DOA girls in the beach fetish...well, I do admit it's pretty creepy. And...not really normal...well, it kinda is, but in a way, when someone makes a game out of their fantasies involving virtual girls, then thats taking it to a strange new level.
And now we get to this lawsuit and I really don't feel shocked. He's a womanizer. And he had it coming.
I wouldn't say I saw this coming--I don't think that being obsessed with boobs turns a man into a sexual predator. I've known lots of men who were obsessed with boobs; I haven't known any sexual predators. I'm tired of people who make the assumption that sexual appetite equals sexual threat. In my opinion, it's actually the subversion of sexual appetites, over time, that becomes a threat.Â
Anyway, it's a shame that such a talented producer should disgrace himself in this way. I hope he doesn't fight it, I hope he pays her what she demands ($85,000? What is that, lunch money? Pocket-lint?) and I hope he enters whatever rehabilitation programs they have over there for men in his situation--just to do whatever it takes to minimize the impact on his career. How completely foolish.
Welp, don't think he'll be left unscathed from this. Despite there being a high rate of adultury in Japan, being caught with it AND being a noticible public figure is a different story. Let's see where Ninja Gaiden 2 development goes if everything goes sour because of this suit :P
