Ipad 2 plan needed?

I plan on buying an Ipad 2 for school purposes. The entire campus has wifi and i have no use for the 3g. Can i buy an ipad and not get any kinda of data plan?

Of course, I got a ipad 2 and it doesn't have 3g, only wifi. Just go to the store and ask them or order online.
