Okay, so the iPhone 6S is out and getting "rave" reviews everywhere how it's a bigger jump than any S model before. One thing that boggles my mind is that there's only 3 options to buy the new iPhone 6S, and that is the 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.

So, where is the 32 GB iPhone 6S? 16 GB of Storage is not enough for many people when photo, video, and music files have made a huge increase. I see what Apple is completely doing and they want people to spend more for the 64 GB. Why not release a 32 GB model and make a sweet spot price out of it? Oh wait, they're a "luxury" brand.

Isn't the iPhone 6S 64GB priced the same as when the iPhone 5S 32GB model was out back then?

I'm actually considering the 128GB, and I know the 128GB is overkill but just because.

Do it. The seemingly unending local storage is a beautiful thing. I'm rolling with a 128gb iPhone 6 right now.

This criticism is very much like most criticisms railed against Apple. "Why didn't you do what I wanted? Your products are terrible." They tend to be fairly selfish.

There are people out there that won't need more than 16gb of space. Most likely, it'll be all those folks that aren't very tech savvy to begin with and may never hit the ceiling. That being said, 16 is very low, particularly given the new iPhone 6s camera and ability to shoot 4k video (something the folks I mentioned earlier in this paragraph will likely never care to do).

Upping the next level to 64 is wonderful because it's more space than most people will ever need, and the giant boost in space does make it an appealing prospect for those tech savvy people.

While I understand your point of view, what you need to understand is that Apple isn't making devices for you, but for a much wider general demographic.

Now I understand what you're saying! You would rather be the catcher than the pitcher when you're playing baseball with Apple, don't you?

My point still stands!

@FireEmblem_Man: I think you're reaching with this one. The simple fact remains - you don't have to buy an iPhone. So the point, inherently, is pretty flawed, and so is that video. It's also worth noting that Apple has made a business on providing people with technology they don't know they needed, and they've said that many times before. The market is full of catchers.

However, some folks know what they're doing and get the 128gb version. ;)

Exactly. Despite the iPhone 6S boasting high end specifications and features, there are people that would gain very little from these improvements. Smartphones have long past that threshold.

More space would be a good thing, 16 GB is becoming the new 8 GB. I agree that it should be removed on high end phones, but it still doesn't mean there needs to be a 32 GB model between the 16 GB and 64 GB models.

My problem, which can be said about more companies than just Apple, is with the pricing gaps between these different sizes. They're just too high. $100 to go from 16 GB to 64 GB doesn't make sense.

What are you saying? That Apple dictactes what people should want? That's what I'm getting at you. You're trying to tell me that I should take what I can get by spending more for higher memory when you already know that I won't be able to fill up over 128 GB? It's nothing but hog wash just for them to keep earning more profits per dollar. So they artificially eliminated the demand for a 32 GB Phone just for people go grab a 64 GB phone? That move only benefits Apple, not the customer.

I'm saying Apple has made a business of giving people things they didn't know they needed. It's true of the iPhone, the iPod, and the iPad (all of which were initially panned for their pricepoint or capabilities out of the gate-and all have been a runaway success).

Of course Apple made a 16, 64, and 128gb version of the iPhone because it's good for their bottom dollar. Nobody is going to argue that one. But Apple is a business, not a charity. Nobody is forcing you to buy any iPhone. People who complain about things like this for the sake of complaining, or that say things like, "iPhones are overpriced" don't have a firm grasp on the business world.

It's all pretty simple stuff.

It'll likely be that way for a long, long time (100 per tier). Apple is very consistent with their pricing. I think they'll continue to justify the price gap with increased storage options (even if it doesn't really cost 100 in parts). It was 8 and 16, then it moved to 8, 16, and 32, then it moved to 16, 32, 64, and now we're at 16, 64, 128.

We'll see where it goes from there.

I never understood that either. I wish the minimum storage was 32GB, that goes for the iPhone, and the iPad. Maybe next year Apple will drop the 16GB model.

@mister-man: I thought you're in suicide watch after Microsoft impressed the masses with Surface Book and Surface Pro 4?
