1. Tom BradyStarter, New England Patriots
Brady is a future Hall of Fame QB who is having a career season. He leads the NFL in touchdowns and completion percentage and has a league-best QB rating of 123.4. There is no longer a debate over who the best QB in the NFL is -- Brady has moved ahead of Manning.

2. Peyton ManningStarter, Indianapolis Colts
Like Brady, Manning is a future Hall of Fame QB. There is not a QB in the NFL who studies the game as much as Manning, and he is one of the best competitors to play QB. Despite losing several key players to injuries this season, Manning has still completed 64 percent of his passes and thrown for 27 TDs.

3. Brett FavreStarter, Green Bay Packers
He will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. At 38, he is still playing at a high level, and it looks as if he may be able to play into his 40s. There is no denying his arm strength, and Favre is still able to make all the throws. Favre is doing a great job this season making every player on the offense better.

4. Tony RomoStarter, Dallas Cowboys
He is a young gunslinger who reminds a lot of people of a young Favre, and Romo shows no fear in the pocket. He is mentally tough and shows an excellent ability to bounce back when he makes mistakes. He is a big reason the Cowboys have the best record in the NFC.

5. Ben Roethlisberger

Starter, Pittsburgh Steelers
Roethlisberger is a young QB who struggled last season, but he is healthy this year and is having a solid season. New offensive coordinator Bruce Arians has given him more responsibility, and Roethlisberger has responded with improved leadership. He's making better decisions and is completing a career-high 66.9 percent of his passes this season.

As far as THIS year goes, I'd put Romo at number 2 or 3. I wouldn't put Farve ahead of him. If this were an all-time rankings then yes Favre would definately be ahead of him. I'd probably put Romo ahead of Manning this year too, but either one of them at #2 works for me.

Warner, Kitna, Campbell, and probably Leinart... Yeah, put them ahead of Eli and Rivers. Don't you dare give me that crap, ESPN!

Woo, Garrard is 10th. Oh and I laugh immensely at Byron's 40th ranking.

Dude, last year was basically his first year. Did you even expect them making the playoffs in the first place? Lay off of him, man... He's not Drew Bledsoe anymore... Let it go

Okay, lets make things straight. Brady played like an average QB throughout his whole first playoff games, remember, he won the Super Bowl because of luck and because of his defense. So plz give Romo a break.

'Big Ben' dangerous on the move
Mike Wilkening, PFW

For this week's NFList, we asked a panel of NFL insiders for their take on the QBs most adept at throwing on the run.

"One of them is in jail," joked a personnel man.

Vick's exceptional speed and arm strength made him dangerous every time he left the pocket. However, because he is not playing at this time, he was not considered for purposes of this list.

All respondents were quoted on condition of anonymity.

1. Ben Roethlisberger | Steelers - The 6-5, 241-pound Roethlisberger will never be known for his speed, but he is known for his ability to improvise - and make big plays - on the move, just like he did when he picked apart an injury-riddled Ravens secondary on Nov. 5.
Said our panel: "His ability to keep his eyes down the field amongst pressure (is a strength). He wants you to blitz him. He'll take a shot if he can get the ball down the field; other quarterbacks won't." ... "I think he's very strong and tough. He knows where the first-down marker and the goal line is."

2. Tony Romo | Cowboys - "He puts pressure on you from an assignment standpoint."

3. Vince Young | Titans - Young's accuracy has been much better in his second NFL season. Said one respondent: "He's improved quite a bit. He's strong-armed, but he was one of those guys who didn't always know where the ball is going to go."

4. Jay Cutler | Broncos - "He's got a cannon. He can get the ball anywhere. You'll see them run double moves off of bootlegs (to the left and right)."

Honorable mention: Eagles QB Donovan McNabb (still respected for his ability to throw on the move, even after injuries have hindered him in recent years), Jaguars QB David Garrard.

I knew all I would have to do was press "end" on the keyboard and see Carr's name.

Also, I would think ESPN would have Delhomme in their top 10 if he wasn't hurt. That's what I'm assuming would happen.

I actually laughed when I saw Cutler on here. I'm a Broncos fan and all, but he is too inconsistent.. let's see how he does next year. I really do have high hopes for him, but right now I'm busy enjoying watching Romo play.

Something off-topic, Brett Favre's middle name is Lorenzo. The NFL has some guys with awesome names (cough Tim Couch cough.)
