OGSNFLUFFL 2009 is up and running.

I've sent invites out to several of our regulars who were involved last season, check your email (whichever email was tied to your team). If you didn't get one for some reason, ask me.

Draft time will be determined at a later date, depending on who is available when.

I think I sent out 9 or 10 invites, so we've got about 6 spots left. If you want in, let me know. But I won't make a decision until August, maybe the second week. In the meantime, post in the forum. There are limited spots, so I need people who are proven to be active. None of this "forgetting about the league after a week" bull****.

I always wanted to ask this question. would you take a guy who puts up 14 sacks a season and about 60 tackles or a guy who puts pu 145 tackles a season and 2 sacks and 1 or 2int's....i realize sacks are worth more points but dont tackles count as points to and when you get that many tackles dont they stack up above the sacks?Ryder004

I would probably go for the tackles, though certain pass rushers do put up big points, too. But the highest scorers on defense are going to be LBs with a lot of tackles. I tried to remedy that and give big plays (sacks, INTs, etc) a few more points last season, but I would have to check the numbers again to see if I succeeded in that regard.

And I might change things up this season and split DEs and LBs into seperate categories. That'll be up to you guys.

I just did an auction draft for the first time the other day and enjoyed it a lot, definite change of strategy from a standard snake format.  Would anyone here be up for one like that?

yeah, i get that alot, but I only have one kid, and I'm white

That's why I have the topic up for discussion on the league page. I haven't checked it today, but so far more people like it where it is. Would still like a lot more responses though.

Yeah I posted it there but I thought it went a day or two without a response so I figured it couldn't hurt to reiterate my concern here 

Well, even though I got no interest I went ahead and created an auction-style FF draft at ESPN.com. I'm not sure how you are supposed to join, as it is a private league but there is no password.

If anyone has a clue how you're supposed to get in, PM me as I have obviously never set up a league with ESPN before.

Currently the league is set to 14 members, but I can add more slots and thin lineups if there is more interest. Draft is set for August 30th, 3:00 PM EST, but can be changed on request.

If you go hunting for it on ESPN.com, the league name is GS NFL U Auction.
