Fantasy Football Discussion 2009

Okay I am first place in my league (5-1) with a one game lead. I was offered a trade for next week.

 

I Get:

-Brandon Marshall

-Maurice Jones-Drew

He Gets:

-Cedric Benson

-Terrell Owens

-SF D/ST

 I guess he wants TO since he is a Bills fan. My instinct tells me to jump on this quickly since my RBs are Ronnie Brown, Mendenhall, and Bradshaw so if something were to happen to happen i am stacked at RBs. My WRs are Randy Moss, Manningham, Ochocinco, and i guess Marshall would be great since i can start him over Manningham. And my D/ST i have is the MIN so i dont mind losing SF. 

I am assuming he believes TO will emerge as the old TO and Benson will continue to suceed which i think he will but Jones Drew is a TD machine lol. He is desperate so i think he feels to make a huge move since he is 3-3 and 7th in points.

 Should i pull the trigger? I think i should. You thoughts?

You have got to be crappin' me.  I went 1-4 this week.  My scores:

112-102 (the only one I thought I would lose)
133-136
79-83
126-130 (our league, frackin' Jackson had 26 points) 
190-180 (with AJ getting injured and no other WR's, and Ray Rice and Chris Johnson on a bye, and I still would have beaten any other team but one!)

Once again, I missed the draft, yet I'm in 2nd place my man. Maybe you just got unlucky, or you just didn't jump on the good players fast enough.

My offence did have some talent (Rivers, Moss, Jackson, Evans, Shockey, Portis but the coach doesn't like to use him), but other than that I've had to collect what I had from free agency. I had to get Kevin Faulk, Seneca Wallace, Kevin Kolb, Jerome Harrison, Mike Bell (gone, he got injured and I dropped him) and White (gone, dropped him) out of free agency because I didn't have any depth. My defence was just horrible, and I had actually forgotten about my FF team, so I couldn't collect anything from free agency.

I loled when I saw you had reached the lmit so quickly.

As Commish, I would be willing to let you make one move per week going forward.  Everyone else will have waiver priority, but you'd still be able to get somebody.  Just let me know who you want and think I can make the roster move.

Greg Olsen is a FA in my league. I drafted him and then dropped him after the first few weeks due to poor production. Another manager picked him up for a few weeks and recently dropped him as well.

I currently have Ben Watson as my starting (and only) TE. I want to think taking Olsen is a good choice but it's a risk since Cutler doesn't really focus on one guy in his offense.

Basically, my question is: Who's going to grant me more fantasy points for the rest of the season; Watson or Olsen?

Thanks! I really wish I could've done that earlier in the season, and discovered the defensive players on waivers. Won three of the last four games of the season, including one over Shiro (at 10-3).

I think I'm going all the way in my other Yahoo league.  My team:

QB: Tony Romo, Jay Cutler Bn: Alex Smith
RB: Chris Johnson, Ray Rice Bn: Ryan Moats, Felix Jones, Tashard Choice
WR: Andre Johnson, Pierre Garcon, Kenny Britt, Mohamed Massaquoi (flex) Bn: Andre Caldwell, Mark Clayton, Bobby Wade
TE: Vernon Davis, Jason Witten (flex) Bn: Marcedes Lewis
Feeley and Carney for Kickers, Houston and San Fran for Defenses.

I look back and wonder "How the heck did I pull that draft off?" 

What should I do? In the playoffs, Im the number 1 seed in my league, Mojo is my first RB but who do i start as my 2nd RB

 Benson at San Diego
