Looks like Philly wants to go with mobile QB's.

Not really, it's a good move signing a backup QB for the oft injured McNabb.  Why not take a shot signing a guy who is going to make hardly any money and could turn out to be just as electric as he always was?

Hell yes, he's still more talented than any QB we've had in a while. I'm gonna give Jamarcus one more year before I completley declare him a bust.

My dad says he is no longer an Eagle fan.

He hasn't even really been a fan of any football team as far as I'm concerned.  He was a Cowboy fan, then Eagle, but also likes the Colts, and then Rams (Brian Leonard grew up in his hometown Gouverneur, NY), and now a Bengal, but officially a Colt, and still likes the Eagles even though they signed Vick.

At least he's a solid Yankee.

Anyway, the move makes sense to both parties, but I don't like it.  Vick could start in St. Louis; Cincy or Carolina would also have been better fits, but I guess what I don't like is him being in the NFC East, so we might have to play him twice a year.

I wasn't even sure of who was gonna get Vick in the first place, but if anybody was gonna get him, it would be a team like the Eagles. I really don't have all that good interest in him, but I want see him play a bit.

$1.6 million is far less than any first round draft pick would get.  What happens when McNabb goes down like he always does?  They have a $1.6 million insurance plan on their season... at least they have someone to hand off to Westbrook once McNabb goes down in Week 7.

So another QB controversy to McChoke is a good idea?  Hmm. He got benched for Kolb last year, how much pressure will he have with Vick there now? This is gonna be a disaster. BTW did you feel the same way when Dallas signed Pacman? You know taking a shot on a "electric" player.

There is a big big BIG difference between Vick and Packman.  Pacman has had a nose for trouble since he got into the league.  He got into all sorts of trouble with the law and was allowed way too many free passes.  Pacman could not handle being in a strip club and made it RAIN!!!  Vick, while doing something wrong, was not nearly as retarded as Pacman.  He was into dogfighting, something popular in the south where he resided, while it was illegal, how many people do you know that do illegal things?  Two completely different people, in completely different situations, playing completely different positions.  One redefined what his position could do, while the other was a mediocre player at his position who at times could make a big play, but also gave up way more.

Why?  Why is he no better than the lowest person on the depth chart that sees no playing time during the course of the season.

Nice you completely ignored my point on why this signing sucks.

Yeah they are two completely different things. One player has been in jail for the past 2 years, while the other hasn't. You are right dude, Pacman's allegedly make it rain crime was so much worse than Pacman's. Im glad you and America's judicial system are on the same page.

Espurs, shut the f*** up, you act like this is such a horrible thing, it's not, we traded no players, used no draft picks, and used very little money on him. And... it's not like he's gonna be the new starting quarterback, he's not even gonna play till like week 7. People are just saying vick sucks at football because they're mad about the dogfighting crime. Since when does dogfighting have to do with football? It doesn't! So stop crying about it, he did his time, now he's back in football. It seems like whenever the Eagles do something, Espurs is always like "It sucks" or if it's actually pretty good, he says "meh." I really don't think you have much room to talk when the eagles have a 99% chance to do better than the Cowboys.

I just said why this is bad. Do you know Philly fans? Other than yourself I mean, I realize your mom doesnt let you out past 6 but maybe when you get to know some actual Philly fans. McChoke will have pressure..hmm  why does it feel like im saying this over and over?

Vick wont play before week 7 huh? You haven't been following huh? You just jumped on his nuts now when you found out he was an Egal. Obvious.

What does dogfighting have to do with the NFL? Nothing, till Vick decided it wasn't getting enough attention in the NFL.

99%? Based on what? Mike Vick? Or Are you another prophet predicting the future after week 1 preseason?

Meh, you suck.

It'sgood move because mcnabb does get hurt alot and o-line isn't a sure thing this year.

vick is still better than 6 of 32 starting qbs in the league even after 2 years and jail.

if he doesnt pan out they can just cut him after this season...

They were at least 5 other teams that were talking vick so chillout because it coulda been your team.

The thought of people saying they wont be eagles fans anymore because of this is bananas, because I guarantee the same people who said that wouuld be the same bandwagon on parade route if he help win them a SB.

If your referring to me, nope you are wrong. Jones flat-out said he wasn't gonna bother getting Vick when he traded for Kitna. Also we cut all our ex convicts if you didn't know. JJ gets it now, chemistry is needed. No distractions are needed, he knows his team is the Dallas Cowboys and that is good enough publicity.

As an Eagles fan, from a football standpoint this is incredible. He's still just 29 and was the most electric/highest paid player in the NFL just a few years ago. Andy Reid is a master of trick plays and is without a doubt going to draw up some great ones for Vick.

As a human being I almost feel sick.

Whats new?  Vick always was a waste.  He could barely read coverages when he was playing with the falcons, and I doubt he got better in jail.  We'll see if he can beat out Kolb.  I doubt he can do that.

I will admit I am a dog lover, but my main problems with Vick are his insufficient abilities, over zealous marketing (yes  I know this one isn't his fault), gambling (Paul Horning got a worst punishment), and him dipping into his employees pension.

Nonetheless, he has a job for now.  We'll see if he can beat out Kolb.  Odds are in his favor to become the 3rd string QB.  He probably is still athletic, so Reid can use him to run the WILDCAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Is anyone else sick of that term?  Why don't we just call it what it is, single wing.

I prefer single wing as well, but at least Razorback is an alternative term.

What's so waste about it? You only think it's bad because of the dogfighting, pu$$y.
