I just heard on ESPN that Bill Parcells is going to let TO decide if he wants to start or not.  If you were the coach of the Cowboys, would you start him?

Just because I hate the guy, does not mean I am stupid enough to not start one of the best recievers in football.  I guess it becomes a matter of how the rest of the team would feel about him.  I am sure there are some veterans that got a little ticked off seeing him with his Discovery bike uniform and helmet on while they were sweating it out on two a days.  What would you do?

He should play some so that they can evaluate him and see how well he knows the offense.

Ahh, it's kind of a tough choice.  He hasn't practiced with Bledsoe much, so the chemistry hasn't formed yet.  But we're talking about benching the best WR around in a game against a great defense.

I think I would start him, but as the #2 or at least #3 guy.  Terry Glenn has been phenomenal in preseason and his relationship with Bledsoe is well established.  Owens will get enough looks to help the chemistry, but it will cut down on possible mistakes, such as bad timing.

Honestly though, I would be kind of glad if Tuna sent him a message by leaving him on the sideline.

I would sit him for the first quarter, and then play him as the #2 or #3 receiver for the rest of the game.

I said it before and I'll say it again, TO was not wanted nor picked by Parcells. This was all Jones idea and shoved right up Bill's ass. TO is a 32 yr old going on 5. Jones would put his wife in a Tijuana donkey show if he thought it would win the nfl trophy.

Well he SHOULD start, simply because he is one if the best WRs in the game. Parcells might try and establish who has the control by sitting him, but he might find out real quick when they are behind in a game :P. And as a WR it wont take much to know the offense, Im sure he has studied and such while being out. He probably has amazing work ethics if he is one of the best WRs.

I don't think it matters whether he starts or not, but he should definitely play in the game if the 19 downs that he played last night are enough to evaluate his knowledge of the playbook.  If he has at least a basic knowledge of how to run the offensive plays, there's absolutely no reason to have him on the bench.  Who cares if he pisses the other guys off.  They're supposed to be professionals.  No one can deny that he has the skills to make a huge difference in the offense.

Put socks on his hands and make him block. All day. I'm just glad he's playing in Dallas and not in Houston. I'll take an inexperienced Andre Johnson and a geriatric Eric Moulds over that chump any day, even if it translates to losses.

Well then you must be happy that the Texans win 5 games every year.

Yeah they should start him or T.O.'s TOness will explode. The Cowboys have done too much involving Owens not to start him, and Owens if healthy is the best reciever in the game despite how much I hate his rotting guts.

For all the upheaval and conflict TO has caused, he has yet to get a ring. When an athlete of his caliber has such questionable character, it is a tremendous waste. Where are all the Dallas fans that were crying all over the news when TO walked into the middle of that blue star? What happened to all of the Dallas fans who were calling TO disrespectful and out of control?

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I believe you can build a winner without putting the integrity of your entire organization on the line. Because of the nature of pro sports, no team is going to be comprised of choir boys, and Dallas has clearly embraced that over their history. My point is, TO is a great athlete, but he's a terrible employee. I would rather employ a salesman who busts ass and gets consistently good numbers, than a salesman who comes to work when he wants, sells when he wants, and shows flashes of brilliance when he DECIDES to work. TO was born with the potential to be the greatest receiver of all time, but he will never be regarded as such, and it is no one's fault but his own.

i do not care because TO is total weak sauce.  he needs to suck it up and actually play and not whine.  i could care less if he actually starts or not.

The Texans havn't been around that long, of coarse they're not going to win that many games yet.
