Hey Guys what rookie (draft pick ) do you think is headed into the best or worst situation into this situation...

Matt Leinart is headed into the best situation because he was in a pro style offense at USC, has Fitzgerald Boldin and Leonard Pope (TE From Georgia) to throw to, not to mention the Edge in the backfield... BTW Larry Fitz is like 6 foot 4, Anquan Boldin is like 6 foot 3, and I think Pope is like 6 foot 7 or 6 foot 8 so he has some GOOD and not to mention big targets and a mentor in Kurt Warner...

Worst Situation would be Michael Huff because I don't think Oakland had a defense last year besides Woodson and Sapp, which both sucked anyways so Huff will go in there and have to take over that defensive secondary as a rookie... BTW Woodson was released

Vernon Davis...this guy is a stud but that offense has no one, alex smith looked horrible even if he was a rookie. they got no wideouts, most ppl cant name anyone besides alex smith and vernon davis on that offense?......okay maybe frank gore, oh yeah and larry allen and antonio bryant but thats only cuz im a cowboys fan and these r ex cowboys. they got an underrated coach but i think his in a bad situation right now.

The very worst situation is Mario Williams...by taking him first in the draft would mean that his carrer would be much better than that as Vince Young and Reggie Bush, just to make argument. If he was about an 8-10time Pro Bowler and Reggie Bush and Vince Young would dissapear in about 4years to be postive. Thats alot of pressure for a rookie who plays DE.

Yup. I seriously think Mario Williams is going to be considered the Sam Bowie of the NFL. He could do very well, but he won't do better than Bush. Plus, he gets knocked because of his inconsistent play.

I think Vernon is in a tough spot as well because of the lack of offense. I wouldn't blame Alex though because who could have done anything with that team? Gore is a good back who I think can help, especially now with Vernon there but they need to pick up a wide out or two that can at least make somewhat of an impact. I also agree that Nolan is underrated. He did a good job with next to nothing! They drafted a lot of good players this year though so maybe they can make some waves.

i think reggie bush is in a tough situation is going in there and is going to be expected to take the team and the city on his back not to mention they have a lot of depth at rb duce is a former pro bowler and will still get a lot of snaps unless they trade him it will be intresting to see how it plays out.

Matt Leinart really lucked out, he has some fantastic revievers and a great back. Get him a line and he'll be a competitor.

I didn't really think about Davis and Williams, you guys are right... Williams is heading into a pretty bad situation (bad as in HOLY CRAP THEY SUCK!!!) because I am sure most people can't name 1 or 2 players on that Houston D unless they went to your college or you are a big fan of the Texans... Jason Babin, Dunta Robinson, and Mario Williams are not gonna cut it plus Babin and Robinson are like 2 years pro anyway, so a young in-experienced collection of pretty bad Defensive players isn't gonna help I think Houston should have traded down to get D'Brick or Vince Young or AJ Hawk or even Vernon Davis...

Davis is heading into a better situation because I think that with Smith, Gore, and Davis will make this offense click and if the defense gets some help the Niners could come up and make the playoffs in 2 or 3 years.

Best: Vince Young. We has Steve McNair as a mentor(if he stays) and what is Vince Young? a young steve mcnair. perfect fit.

Worst:Jay Cutler. He will be shadowed by Jake Plummer. he wont get any snaps which will result in him not improving and he will be forgotten.

Yeah, cause we all know Phillip Rivers was forgotten.  Carson Palmer was forgotten, too.  And Steve Young spent so much time on the bench, it ruined his career!

Best Situation: Maybe Leinart, maybe Cutler, but I'll say Vernon Davis.  Other than Eric Johnson, Davis is like the ONLY target for Alex Smith, so he'll be getting the ball a lot from the inexperienced QB.  And as their relationship grows, the Smith-Davis connection will be one of the most deadly in the NFL.

Worst situation: I really don't know.  I'm drawing a blank.

Matt Leinart is in the best shape.  The Cards are on the rise, and he doesn't HAVE to start right away.

I would say Mario Williams has it worst.  No way he can live up to the fans expectations.  The fans will not see a 'QB pressure' or clogged running lane in stat book like they will a sack or tackle, and those non-trackable things are 75% of what a defensive player does.  Easier for a Offensive player to light up the stats.

About Huff, he's not that bad off.  As bad as Oaktown's D was last year, the expectations won;t be huge.  ALso, Woodson hasn't done squat since he got Turf-Toe, so he was no great loss.

Yeah seriously, playing behind Jake Plummer gives him a really good chance at learning the offense. It's way better to not get thrown in your first year...

Well, I kind of went in a different direction.

Best situation: There were a lot of rookies that got drafted to good situations. A player that got drafted in a nice place was Haloti Ngata. The run stuffing DT has drawn criticism of taking off on plays. He has an oppurtunity to go to a good defense and get better and he's not gonna take off on plays with Ray Lewis on the field.

Worst situation: Donte Whitner. The safety for Buffalo is going to a team where there will be a young secondary which will prevent him from getting better with a lack of veteran leadership and there will probably be 2 starting rookie safeties with him and Ko Simpson.

The worst situation is Vernon Davis. He started crying when he found out he was a Niner. I'm not so sure those were tears of joy.
