What team do you think will suprise a lot of people. Im going to say the lions. i no, i no they arnt a very good team but i think the offense has improved. i would take John Kitna any day over Joey Harrington. roy williams is expected to be a breakout canidate. If he is then all they have to do is hope mike williams and charles rogers can have a couple of good games here and there and then BOOM! the lions passing game is alive. as for the defense it is a solid group with shaun rogers, fernando bryant and dre bly. though they are pretty weak at linebacker, they improved it with rookie ernie sims. the running game is a descent group but kevin jones cant stay healthy. the O-line is solid with guys like Damien Woody and jeff backus. overall i think the lions will go 5-ll. ending up  3rd or tied for 3rd with the packers

Dunno if 5-11 for the Lions constitutes a surprise, but, ok. Me, the Browns will get 9 or 10 wins because of schedule and because they always seem to surprise teams, improved offense with Frye's progress and return of K2. A much improved D led by one of the leagues bets LBs Andra Davis and one of the best DBs Leigh Bodden.(im a homer btw)

I would have to say the Raven could pop up and surprise some people.  With McNair back there throwing to his old reciever, Mason and also has Clayton that should pick up the pace.  Their defense has always been pretty solid, so it could depend on their running game with Jamal Lewis and Mike Anderson.  I don't think this is a surprise but I think the Dolphins could have a big year too.

I think the Rams if Marc Bulger stays healthy...

Miami pssstt.. Probably the most overrated suprise team right now.. People are even picking them to go to the superbowl.. Yeah right they'll be lucky to even make the playoff. Miami fans don't go crying when the Pats win the disvison also.. Miami will be better this season but they are not ready to hang with the big boys of the NFL yet imo...

The Bengals, and before anyone flames me, everyone either predicts the Steelrs or Ravens to win the division Pack should be in the hunt for the division as well. Do people forget they were on their 7th string RB by the end of last season?

I think it will be the new york jets. People have to remember a couple of years ago they where one of the afc powerhouses, and if chad pennington is healthy he and laveranues coles should have a great season. The schedule is not to tough they play the pack, the lions, vickings, raiders, bills twice, the titans, the browns, and the texans. Those are all winnable games, and I think the afc east is not that tough, people are over estamating the dolphins but you always have to watch out for the pats and brady. The jets defense should be pretty good as well with vilma leading the way and i think kevin barlow will have a decent year.

maybe but people aren't overestimating the fins Daunte Culpepper was one of the best QBs in the league when healthy he is dangerous he may be the third string pro bowl qb behind Peyton Manning and Tom Brady this year

LOL what ESPN do you watch? I think the redsox hacked into all new yorkers tvs and added thier versions of ESPN where the Red Sox and Pats rule.

Anyways back on topic, the Ravens will make the playoffs.

i would have to go with the ravens because i think they finally filled that missing peice of the puzzle in steve mcnair there defense is top notch they have talent at wideout in mason and clayton and one of the best tight ends in the game in heap plus jamal lewis will bounce back after the worst season of his career i think they could win there division and go deep in the playoffs

yea but the ravens are ina to tough division to win it. the bengals are good and so are reining sb champions the steelers. the browns will also give it a push to win some games. people are overating the ravens. i think they will go 3 rd in the division. their "D" is not as good as it used to be. chris mcalister cant make the same plays he used to make. plus, both aging ray lewis, and the top noch ed reed are coming off injuries.
