Fans can simply say, "I'm mad and I'm not gonna take it anymore". Hit the owner in the only place he cares about...the $ bottomline. Take the Lions for example, William Clay Ford is one of the worst owners but he also is a smart guy because he has put mediocrity on the field forever and makes a healthy bottom line every year for himself. He has convinced the fans and Press to accept losing seasons as a natural event. They will only become better if fans quit buying season tickets, quit buying Lions merchandise, hammer the local tv and newspapers with how much the Lions suck. Stay away in droves and the NFL won't televise any of their games with empty stands. Hit Ford where it hurts......in his wallet. He's a businessman, he'll either sell or put a better product on the field. The other crappy owner Tom Benson is a little more blatant in his Saints fifedom. When Bush became available in the draft, I picture him like Fred Sanford holding his heart and teetering backwards. Joy in mudville? Hardly, getting Bush was the WORST thing that could happen in his mind. Benson's big plan all along was a move to San Antonio. Katrina comes along and things start falling into place for Benson. Finally the excuse he'd been hoping for. A ruined Superdome? The more damage the better to him. Move's in the bag. Bree's and company will look good at the Alamodome. The NFL realizes what he's doing and sends Tagliaboohoo to apply the headlock until Benson yells "Uncle". So the plan to move the Saints gets put off temporarily and along comes Bush. So now he's really stuck. Bush is bringing a ton of support and fans to the Saints that they sorely lacked. With the Bush pick, Benson was screwed either way, pick him and be stuck in New Orleans, don't pick him and have to deal with some real threats. Benson is still bent on moving the team to San Antonio and like a rat on a sinking ship, he'll find a way out.

What you said was pretty much true, except that the Saints already had a bunch of fans, Bush brings a whole lot more, but I don't think they sorely lacked them. IMO Saints fans are some of the most dedicated fans in all of sports. For a while there I was wondering, "Should I stay with this team if they move to LA or San Antonio?" Luckily that answer is delayed and the Superdome is getting a good faceover, new TV's, new field, new seats, and other stuff to get the Superdome to the modern era.Fans can simply say, "I'm mad and I'm not gonna take it anymore". [QUOTE="nickdastick"][QUOTE="Wario_and_Fox"][QUOTE="wallymartin"][QUOTE="axel360"]Arrington couldn't do much in the NFL because he was playing behind a Cardinals offensive line that couldn't block anyone.
Wario_and_Fox
I agree. Arrington has only played one year and that was behind a terrible o-line. Arrington will probably find himself on another team by the time his contract expires, and I think he'll be a good pick-up at that time.
Cha-ching wtih Reggie Bush. No O-Line=no monster, no god of football, no Michael Jordon. Your all acting like every year he'll rush over 2,500 receive over 2,000, and kick return a lot of yardsWe haven't said that. Plus, you can't compare Arrington to Bush. Bush was compared to Gayle Sayers! They don't just do that every year. I know sometimes people get some hype but not Gayle Sayers hype! Plus, we aren't saying he is a God or will make huge yards. We are just saying he will do well because he is that kind of player. Look at Barry Sanders, he had a pretty mediocre line but he was good enough to get big yards. Bush will do the same.
As a fact, you cannot say that. Just because in college he was compared to Gale Sayers doesn't mean their one of the best backs ever 1.He hasn't had to play with a bad O-Line and 2. Anyone remember Ryan Leaf and Tim Couch? So why do you keep bringing up Tim and Ryan? They weren't considered the best all time at their position in college (which a lot of people have been making the argument that Bush is) and they weren't even the best at the time. They were good but it's a much different situation. Plus, they went to REALLY crummy teams where as Bush is on a team that is decent. Also, Duece has done a very good job in NO so why can't Bush do the same or better? Oh, and Gale Sayers is considered one of (if not THE) best RB's in college history, so comparing Bush to him doesn't mean that Bush was one of the best college RB's ever? C'mon now! Explain that to me.
I'm not saying Bush is a Hall of Fame shoe in. I'm just saying he has all the tools and more to become a very good player. And, this thread is about him helping to revive NO which he has already done.
Bush was a very good college player but when I think of backs that I saw and considered men amongst boys in college and Pro I think of Bo Jackson, Herschell Walker, Billy Sims, Earl Campbell, Gale Sayers, Barry Sanders and OJ Simpson. I remember one game between Georgia and Tennessee and Herschell runs up the middle and after 30 yards there is only one guy at the 20 yd of Tenn to beat. That guy was the future Cowboys All-Pro Bill Bates, Herschell didn't juke right or left..................he ran right over him at top speed like he wasn't even there. TD. Does Bush belong in this company? He reminds me more of a Marshall Faulk type guy....real good but not a man amongst boys.

I never said he was a bad college player. But its become obvious that having success in college=/=have success in the NFL. So if Bush went to a bad team, you'd think he wouldn't be good either? Make up your mindWhat I was trying to say was that Bush is in a different league than Leaf and Couch! He wasn't just a good player, he was a GREAT player in college. Plus, like I said, his team isn't that bad. He did better in college than Duece did right? Well, that would show us that Bush has a very good chance of doing just as good or better than Duece on the same team (except this team is even a bit better than they were before).
