yes sort of three or 4 mario games came in one year they are marioparty 8 mario strikers charged super paper mario and super mario galaxy but the best year is 1996 -1997 super mario 64 /also 2004 when the remake came and when ever the vc release was oh ya it was in nov 21 of 2006
you really cant compare the best mario games because they all had something unique about them and brought something new to the series but i will say that galaxy is one of the best games i have ever played
not even close. mario is the highest selling franchise ever made in vudeo game history. he got there by having great years everytime one of his games comes out. galaxy was a great game but probably (im not sure) on of his worst openings. just look at the sales of his other games.
