3DS $198 in Canada this week. Official drop to $170 August 12th in US.

Although this is great news, this kind of sucks for me. I have gotten enough money for the few games I want to pick up in november, and now I have to start planning on picking one of these some time afterwards. I wasn't going to pay 250 for a portable system as I can easily pick up any major home console for a similar (or better) price. I may wait until next year to see what all is in the line-up though.

Quick question about the eShop thing. Do you create an account and then login with that account through a 3DS? If so, I may create one on my friends 3DS so whenever I get one I will be good to go :) But I doubt Nintendo will make that kind of mistake.

I don't think you can create an account the same way you creat youtube or e-mail accounts. When you first sign into the eShop there's something they have you do that ties the eShop to that hardware.

I'm sure they'll have a good holiday now, but I'll still wait for my 3DSlite. They said it wouldn't happen, but we all know it is since they like redesigning handhelds about three times over.
