3DS price speculation - How much do you think it will be?

Well for the uk where i live. i think the 3ds will be priced at 199.99 pounds. the wii is round about that price anymore then nintendo would be taking a serious risk.

between 199$ and 299$

im gonna say around $230 because it is a new system but we do have to remember it is a portable console so they are looking to still attract people with a decent price but this is not considering that THE GAMES PRICES WILL INCREASE as this system is more advanced graphically to a little over the extent of the PSP so games price estimate may range from $40 to 50$ as it is new and therefore will ask for new and more expensive games just more than that of the PSP but no more than those of major consoles but i can mostly guarantee it will NOT be in the $30 to 34.99 range not taking into consideration tax.

i doubt they'll make it cost more than the wii, so im thinkin about $169.99

Since the Nintendo DSi cost $169.99,i would say that the 3DS would cost around $210-$230

Yeah, I'm more leaning toward the $250 max.

Nintendo are quite good with launch prices with their gaming devices. So I reckon around $200 or $250 at most.

Gonna wager $200. There's no way they'd launch it for more than their very own Wii. Sales wouldn't do very well. It would cannibalize their own market. The way I see it, the hardware is a minor jump from whats available currently, and it just wouldn't make sense to release it for more. As much as I like the 3DS, unless it offers some very compelling software, I don't think I'll be getting one.

The 3DS is the next step in the evolution of Nintendo's REAL next handheld device. I dare say it's a test run. (Although not with that negative slant that the PSPGo garnered.)

What I am truly excited for is Nintendo's future handheld. I've always been a huge fan of Nintendo handhelds and the DS is no different, but I already bought one. I'd give this 3DS 3 years optimistically before it is entirely replaced by the next step up.

But for what it is, the 3DS is pretty cool. If they put a 3D pokemon or Smash Bros. on it I'll probably bite :)

i would say around 225-350. heck its 3d tv with a touch screen that is portable! and you can take 3d pictures and watch movies! better than psp thats for sure. i think nintendo will eventually havve no more new and creative ideas for systems. (that sucks!)

Oh Uh fellas, the GPU in the 3DS is revealed and guess what? Its super affordable, last gen tech with some current gen features. most importantly its cheap. Combine this with the fact that the 3DS won't have nearly as much powerful hardware as most people are thinking and a price less than $199 is super likely

Well its $301 in USD but the DSi XL is what, $250 if you translate its AUD price to USD? and look its $189 in North America.

So this has little to no bearing on the actual price, even if this is accurate. Australians have always gotten screwed on pricing.

The news that the GPU in the 3DS is super cheap means this unit is getting a lower price day by day

1. No multi-touch

2. Old hardware, not cutting edge

3. Only one 3D screen

yeah the only excpensive handheld they have had recently was the gameboy micro which was overpriced at 100 dollars

Nintendo already told us it WILL be more than the current DS's and the DSI XL is close to 200$. Im thinking of a 200-250$ If its 275$ i think about it. If its 300$ or more. FOrget about it.

I know exactly how much it is going to cost. It is going to cost whatever nintendo says it is going to cost. There, took all the guess work out of that.

Since the Wii console started out at $249.99, I'd have to say around $199.99. $249.99 max.
